Great piece of camping gear. Excellent piece of camp kit particularly with fire rings. It is always a challenge to know what size grates to bring to the campsite and use the fire ring to cook with. This gear eliminates that problem. Find some decent poles or bring your own, and you are set to cook no matter how big or small the fire is. Adjustable height, easy to set up, and pretty light weight, makes this a great value for the money.

My husband and I travel in a small camper van. Storage is at a premium. We started using a grate like this for the times we're at a campground that has a fire ring that isn't really made for cooking. That has worked well for us. The advantage to this item is that it's not only smaller than our other grate, but it folds in half - and comes with a cool little storage bag. It's made of sturdy material, but since it's small, it's not too heavy. This item does not include the tripod legs. We already have those from our other grate. You will probably want to practice setting up the tripod legs when you are not hungry and trying to put the grill together for the first time when your coals are hot and you want to get your food cooking.

Oh camping grate, how I wanted to love you... 🥺💔I truly hate giving unfavourable reviews, but I cannot in good conscience recommend this item at the current quality control standards they are employing. At first glance, this is a great little piece of kit. But I pulled it out of the *baby mint velveteen carry bag with a white satin drawstring* it came in (umm. You do know these things are going to go over a fire and get black with soot on the first use, right?) (the bag is beautiful, for a wedding tiara or something! Definitely a fish out of water in a camp kit.) (sorry, got distracted)... and I freakin stabbed my finger on a spur in the metal! Like a metal splinter! 😱 Ouch! It was not a pokey bit from the edge of the grate, although there are those, too. It was a splinter that had shaved up from the middle of the rim of the support ring. I am including a picture that shows it.I am going to sand it down and try to salvage it, but if you decide to purchase this item, look over it with a fine toothed comb before using it, and handle it VERY carefully or use gloves, as it might need a be sanded.I did the magnet test and it didn't stick, which suggests that the claims of 304 stainless steel are accurate.Note that this*DOES NOT* come with the tripod legs, which is what I assumed when I looked at the pictures, so you're on your own to either whittle down some thin branches or find some metal poles.Onto the good stuff, because it's not all bad: this is nice and compact. The grate is heavy duty stainless steel, and it comes with a non-coated stainless steel tigertail hanging cord with three tails lashed together, a chain that has a curious bent bit (not a hook, I'll have to ask my GPT about it affixed to one end, a hook for hanging kettles and cauldron style pots by the handle, and the tripod support with 3 holes for the legs and one for the chain. Aside from the aforementioned, which I'm very sad to report on and REALLY hope this will prod the manufacturer to bring the quality control standards up A LOT, it's a tidy bit of kit. My advice:✳️ Ensure all edges are finished and the metal has no spurs due to tool marks, insufficient finishing, and improper welding tacks✳️ Clearly state that the poles are not included, as this was quite a surprise to me, and I thought they forgot to put them in the packaging!!!✳️ Use a heavy duty ripstop nylon bag or something suited to the outdoors and black soot and pitch! A baby mint green fuzzy bag with a white satin cord is going to be immediately ruined upon the first use, and will transfer the soot to other items in the bag, hold scent, and it's just about the worst possible material choice that could have possibly been made for this purpose. Super nice fabric and bag... just not for the purpose of holding a grimy, charred, sooty grille!I hope this review goes a long way towards improving this product, because it's a brilliant idea, just needs some work on the execution. This can be an excellent product with some fairly simple tweaks.
