I bought this style of hammock because the regular style of hammock killed my knees and back, sleeping in a curve of angled to where you feet were exposed! I own about a dozen+ hammocks and this is probably the one I will use on my regular adventures here in the PNW! Awesome product…so much I bought another one after trying out the first one!!! I would pay more if this hammock came with straps instead of rope!!!!

If you like it riding up your backside, this is the hammock for you. As many others have commented, the middle seam rides your backside if you're tall even laying sideways / diagonal is a hassle. And my girl who is much smaller try it with the same result. Unfortunately will be returning it.

I love, love, loved this hammock. It never flipped over which can hurt, especially around children. Sturdy material so if it's taken care of even minimally it will last for a good long time.

I had a great 45-minute nap after hanging this one. Suggestion: DON'T put one foot in each pocket (I didn't see that photo until after my third nap!. Instead, put both feet into one pocket and lie at an angle. You'll still be flat, but the seams won't dig into your back, and you can sleep on your back or your side.I weigh 135 and find this very comfortable.

First note: it shouldn't even be legal to include ropes for hanging hammocks. That damages trees. Straps are cheap and easier to work with, so I urge the makers to swap that out even if it means the price goes to $23.As for the hammock: this is a great idea and does largely deliver on its promise to let your legs lie flat.BUT. They need to redesign it either without seams or use a much stronger and less stretchy material. Occupant weight has to be low to make this comfortable.Pros:Legs lie flat, despite being much shorter than other hammocks and I'm 6' / 183 cm tall.LightweightLying parallel to hammock means you can use your standard sleeping back to wrap all the way around. Don't need to buy top or under quilts to stay warmCons:Two big seams run the length of the hammock and define the foot pockets. Because the fabric is thin and stretchy, the seams stretch a lot less by being doubled up. So the seams make what feel like tight cords which caught me under my shoulder blades and were a bit abrasive on the inside of my thighs.Despite being a very short hammock, my height wasn't a problem. But 170 pounds / 75 kg is way too much. If it were made from stronger and less stretchy fabric (polyester or ideally Dyneema) it would be more expensive, but would work. The fabric around them wouldn't stretch much, so the seams wouldn't feel any different and I think I could sleep in this. But it does need to be made from stronger materials and it's therefore going to cost more to make. Kind of a dilemma when you're trying to break into a market.Anyway, if you weigh under like 120 pounds / 55 kg this may well work for you, but I'm substantially too heavy...

I was a little disappointed that the "flat feet" portion of the hammock wasn't more noticeable. That's the reason I bought it. However, for the price (about $20), this is a great hammock. It's not quite as soft, light, or big as other hammocks I've bought in-store, but it's also roughly half the price. I probably wouldn't backpack very far with this hammock. But if you're looking for a hammock of this style to use at home or while camping from a vehicle, it's a decent unit for the price.

Kudos to the designer of this hammock for coming up with something creative and creating another option. And I don’t remember when I’ve last seen such solid hardware (NICE carabiners!). But I agree with the reviewer “Rahlan” who commented on the ridge between your legs (for me, it hit my legs, not rear end). And I just can’t see giving up the chance to lie diagonally and being stuck in this one position all night. Back it goes. BTW, the most comfortable flat-lay hammock I’ve found so far is the Nemo Cloudview Lite (found on sale elsewhere, so I wonder whether it might be discontinued soon), which at least lets you rest your legs on the walls and switch to fetal position if you’re short enough.
