The lantern camping stove burns lamp oil. This thing comes with a funnel and an extra burning wick. If you make sure the wick is fully saturated before lighting, it will last much longer. I like the fact that it uses lamp oil. This seems like a more traditional way to heat and light up the room. It also has less of an odor compared to the kerosene lamps. This thing gets hot quick and puts out plenty of light.

This is a nice multi purpose item. We tried it out on a nice cool night and it worked great. The tent was warm and the light it gave off was just as bright as an oil lamp. We did find it is easier to use light weight camping pans to cook on this rather than heavier pans. The weight is way too heavy for this to be used as a hiking stove but for just going to the woods to camp it is a great tool to have.

I would recommend. I use parrafin lamp oil. Burns hot. Well built.

Although this doesn't throw out a huge amount of radiant heat, it does warm up a tent pretty quickly. For me, it is more a decoration when the wife and I spend evening out on the deck, or when friends are over. It is a nice subtle light and some gentle warming (if you are fairly close).

So, I thought the idea of this was pretty cool. The videos online mainly brought me to it, for the sort of fireplace looking aspect of it. It is a decent size, and feels generally made well. It doesn't come with a griddle or anything for the top to support the using it for cooking claim, but just like anything that makes a flame you could probably use it for low heat cooking. The hinge for the front door is fortunately stiff so it doesn't swing around haphazardly. The cons are the price, and to me the wick. It uses a very wide wick that is consequently pretty short. I don't think it can last super long, and it only comes with one spare. I might have to experiment to see if it'll function with like 4 standard wicks side by side to make sure it will be practical for extended use.

The lantern is made of stainless steel and iron, and it has a black color. It is made to provide light, heat, and works as a cooker, all in one device. The lantern has a fuel tank capacity of 525ml. I can adjust the flame to suit my needs, whether I am using it for lighting, heating, or cooking.The lantern is portable and easy to carry, with dimensions of 6.18"x4.33"x8.27". It comes with a storage bag. The stove also has handles, but I have to be careful when moving it if there is residual heat, as I need to wear gloves to avoid burning myself. The lantern also has an extendable cooking stand, which allows me to use small pots, grill pans, or kettles for cooking. I found that it is easier to use lightweight camping pans for cooking on this lantern rather than heavier pans.

This is an oil lamp which can be used for cooking. You’ll need to purchase lamp oil separately, if you don’t already have it. If you plan on using it for cooking; you’ll need to purchase cooking equipment (kettle / pot / skillet) separately as well.If you’re nostalgic for this type of lamp. . . . That’s one thing. . . But it’s kind of bulky / heavy. . . You have the issue with the oil and so on. If your main goal is cooking. . . .You might wish to consider a gas camping stove, which is not only lightweight. . . It’s also a lot less expensive.I like this one, but I don’t use it for camping. It would be way too cumbersome for me. But it’s nice on the patio. . . Going to a park for a picnic. . . and that sort of thing.This oil lamp is Made in China and being sold by a Chinese company on Amazon. There are several Chinese companies selling this item right now. At $126. . . This is one of the lower-priced ones. . . But even so. . . It’s still WAY over twice the price it should be. Even at $50 it would be expensive.
