The idea was good, but the clips are too small to be used with any hat I've ever seen. They open wide enough to accept the hat rim, but then you can't close or lock them. I tried a dozen different baseball caps and it wouldn't attach to any of them. Honestly, I think unless your hat had one-ply thin fabric there's no way this would work. Other reviews said that but I figured I'd give it a shot. No dice. Returning.

Was looking for clibs that would hold my hat on when out on the lake and these do the job well have not had my hat blow off no matter what speed we are going

Hat chin strap is useless. The clips don't open up enough for the fabric of my hat to fit between the teeth of the clips. The fabric would need to be as thin as silk to fit between the clips teeth.

Was so happy to find the chin strap, now I don't spend half my time chasing my wife's ball cap when we're trail riding! It's a great product, works perfectly!

Clips do not hold in strong wind; they are flat and slide right off. Also hard to figure out how to open clip--pull up instead of pressing down. Get alligator clips instead.

Too SHORT! It maybe measures 25 inches if your stretch the cord and measure from the tip of one clip to the tip of the other clip. BUT that's really too short for adults. I'm a woman and I found it difficult to get it over my face/head with the cord attached to my hat. I had to take my glasses off to accommodate this short cord. I have an average chin and neck but I'm wondering what a person with a beard or perhaps extra skin under his or her neck will do. The clips are sturdy enough that I'm going to keep the chin strap and then use my own much longer cord with the hardware.

I haven't used them yet but because I have to wear hats outside, these should work great. The construction looks good. The second extra set may come in handy when I lose the first. Summer is coming and I'll update this after I wear them.
