For the money this is a decent hook. Seems durably made with good finishes and quality components. Some buyers have had trouble with fading on the anodized aluminum hook but mine doesn't sit outside in the sun, or even stay installed, so I can't speak to that. Overall I thought it was decent quality for the price point.

Bought this for my 2023 Subaru Crosstrek Sport. The threading fits and it is nice that it sticks out a little more beyond the front bumper unlike the OEM tow pin. I would recommend applying a little bit of grease to the threading before tightening the hook in all the way. I hand tightened this hook and then when I went to loosen the hook, I ended up loosening the black connector piece and then the pin was stuck inside the car. I had to use a tool to loosen it out of the car.At least for my car, both the OEM tow hook and this tow hook fully threads in at an angle. With this racing style tow hook I didn’t think it matched the front end of the car very well with it sitting at an angle. As such, I went with the D-ring shackle to give the car a more rugged look and it looks fine sitting at an angle. There are some YouTube videos out there made by Crosstrek owners whose tow hooks also sit at an angle. Supposedly you can add washers to the pin to make it thread facing up and down, but there’s a potential you could damage the car if all of the threads aren’t fully locked in when you utilize the tow hook. I received the product I really liked the packaging and every looked professional. There were no instructions which wasn’t a big deal for me. I installed the hook and they look really good and are easy to install. However went to pull the vehicle on time just gently applying pressure the hook snapped at the base of the treads. The are great for looks but not dependability.
