INSTALLATION STEPS
- 1. Use the plastic crowbar to pry the four corresponding slots of the sun visor base to remove the entire sun visor cover with base
- 2.Align the whole set of sun visor cover and base with the corresponding slot position and install it on the original sunshade.
- 3.Make sure this product has been installed properly and try to open it .

Installed on my 2000 Carrera 996. A bit tough to get into the original "light housings" but once in, they work and look great!

These are great and make my 987 Boxster look much better. Take care when you pull the old cover off. If you bust off a hinge stud (likely) then you'll have to drill a hole in the case to use the supplied screw to act as a new hinge. You'll have to eye ball where to drill and if you're off, get a small file to reposition the hole. And the head of the supplied screw is too large to properly fit. It will bind against the old case. I have doubts as to how long before the screw comes loose. The attached image is my second attempt. I was able to preserve both hinge studs.

This is simply perfect. Look exactly like the original on the other visor in my 2001 Boxster. Pry tool included, which is necessary to avoid tearing the vinyl. The instruction detail was spot on, as removing the frame from the visor and the U clips from the back of the frame was a tricky detail without which I would have broken the whole thing! The Best. Yes. If you need this, then this is the one to buy.

Fit my 2001 Boxster perfectly. Was really hesitant about purchasing, so many different listings and price. I opted for these bcz of reviews about fit and quality. Easy install, no trimming, just alittle bit of force and the tiny post went right in. But too much force possibility could break off, use caution.

Took approximately 2 minutes to remove the old one (that cracked on the way out due to age (1997) and sun exposure in the convertible) & to replace it. New one fit perfectly and clicked in place with ease!

These are a perfect fit and match for my 2000 Boxster with lighted vanity mirrors. The purist in me wishes they have the silly airbag warning print on them, but actually nicer this way. Agree that this is the one to get.Easy to install, especially with the provided trim tool and very clear instruction sheet. Just know that as others have stated it takes a bit of gentle flexing of both the mirror frame and cover to get these on to the pins, so take your time, but once on, good as new ;-)

Was going to install this in a 25 year old 986 Boxster convertible sun visor. Sun visor and the installed lighted vanity mirror assembly is comprised mostly of aged (CRISPY) plastic parts. Not going to risk destroying an aged visor and inserted lighted vanity mirror assembly by disassembling it. The quality of the plastic on this kit is great. Unfortunately, for the cost, there should be spring loaded pins in this replacement cover that can expand into the empty holes on the vanity mirror assembly without having to disassemble the very fragile lighted vanity mirror assembly from the even more fragile sun visor. Remove the risks of disassembly with deployable / spring loaded pins and this would be a winning product.
