This review is for the Bedemu 12 Inch Speed Square, Red, at a price of $23.99.I obtained this to keep in my portable toolkit. This speed square has a red anodize coating and is laser-etched with printing. The laser etching appears to be a bit more accurate than other squares with stamped printing, although the stamped ones will likely be more wear resistant. This square has the usual angle markings, scribe points (for large carpenter pencils), and rulers on one of the outer edges. In the center, it has printing for converting inches to decimal feet and a roof pitch conversion chart.Overall, this particular speed square appears to be designed for roofing/rafter work, so some of the functionality will not be useful for me, but the more basic functions like the protractor, square, and rulers will definitely be valuable.

This 12-inch speed square,, with bright, legible lettering, is very easy to read. Though the square is aluminum and lightweight it has a good, heavy feel. The square is very solid and rigid. I have had trouble having enough speed square to complete drawing lines on large boards with the small speed square. This speed square solves that problem. The only downside of this square is the very aspect that I like: it is big. The speed square is impossible to carry in my tool belt and isn't really a portable tool. I will be using this large speed square as a specialty tool when the need arises. Build to last and great quality!

I ordered this to supplement my 7" speed square. This square will allow me to work with larger dimensional lumber more accurately and easily.Note that all dimensions marked on the square I received are SAE (inches). The listing pics are misleading as they show the square having only metric (cm) dimensional markings.
