Worked well the first time that we used it. Second time it broke apart. Good concept just it’s just cheaply!

I have a hairy dog and a beautiful carpet that she loves to lay on. Not a great combination. This pet rake does the job and does it well! It’s a low pile rug. I don’t rake the binding on the edges as it will snag it. But a great product and a great price. Very pleased!

I have white carpets and a black dog, ugh! Our carpets seem to always have this underlying dirty/gray haze to them. This rake helped get most of the hair up out of the carpets. It doesn't go as deep into the carpet as I would like so it would be perfect for shorter carpet. It still does a way better job than the vacuum alone though!

I only have carpet in one room, my bedroom, but I have 3 cats and one dog that all love to hang out in there. This carpet rake is simple to use, the handle is long enough that I'm not bent over, and it works well to rake the hair up. It's a good value for your money.

It is pretty amazing what this picks up. We have a puppy and two kitties and even though none of them shed like crazy, they apparently shed more than I thought!I'm docking one star because I wish that the attachment point for the handle had an adjustable angle and the poles seem to unscrew easier than they should. I may try using some teflon tape on them to get a better grip on the threads.Overall though, this works far better than I was expecting and I'm really glad to have it.

Pet hair carpet rake seems to work best on shag or stranded carpets, and collects hair pretty quickly. Carpets with loops like Berber or similar weaves cause the rake's head to catch and snag, making a smooth, sweeping motion impossible. A traditional carpet rake with thin plastic fingers would do better on Berber and similar carpet fabrics. The rake assembles and disassembles easily, and the head folds for convenient, slender upright storage.I'll update this post in about 3 months' time to report on its durability and frequency of use in my household.

We have two border collies with double coats that are HEAVY shedders. I can clean my rug tonight and by morning, there are clumps of dog hair on it. It's maddening. I have a small, handheld fur rake, which works fine, but this big one is so much better. It was easy to assemble and the rake head folds up for easy storage. The rake head is wide, so it doesn't take me very long to do the 8ft X 10ft rug in my bedroom. The long handle allows me to find a position that doesn't kill my back while doing this chore. (Pics show when I first started raking and the final hairball with my shoe for reference.) Easy enough to use nightly ... as I must. If you've thought about getting one of these, do it. It really works.

I have mostly textured carpet floors, two cats, a dog, and I shed a lot of hair when I'm stressed. It all gets in the carpet and floors, and I've resorted to kicking dryer balls around the floor and thought my vacuum was picking up everything else. The amount that this still pulled up from the floors was astonishing and pretty gross. The newly formed 'dust bunny' was almost as big as one of our cats. Super gross. From the first use, you could very easily see a line of fur and hair pulled up from the carpet. It's a lot more effective pulling towards you, and still somewhat effective pushing away from you. I think the only thing I disliked was that you can't angle it sideways even though the head of the rake does move that way.Overall it's very light, efficient, and also worked well in a classroom and 3 cars. Highly recommended!
