this costs more than the Apache case itself! very well made and accommodates various sized personal weapon systems. A good quality hi density material that is easily trimmed. Very adaptable to accommodate various shapes and sizes. from a full sized 1911 down to compact. I recommend this!!

Fit in the case perfectly. Holds everything secure. Makes going to the range simpler, less items to carry. excellent use of space, way more useful than if i had just torn out squares from the original foam. Expensive for foam, nut way better durability than what came with it and well designed.

Foam came full block and with cuts but the foam was not plucked. It doesn't fit revolvers. it wont fit 10rd 1911 mags either. there are 2 layers of foam. the 2nd layer in the magazine cuts were difficult to pull. foam for magazine has two foam cuts for single and double stack mags. if you toss both the foam pieces your single stacks wont fit snug. you could probably keep the foam and reinsert the foam pieces for magazines. overall good product.

I love this foam replacement for Apache. I left the second layer of foam in where the barrels of the gun go so the gun sit nearly flat. You can use the little pieces of foam you pull out where the magazines go as shims for the front to take up some of the extra space depending on barrel length. I have tried some of my larger frame guns Springfield XDM elite etc and they're a little tight but we'll go in. If you love 1911s like I do this foam is absolutely perfect. As far as that second layer of foam all you need is a pair of needle nose to grip it and it comes right out no big deal.
