Had a home made flap in my basement window for years til it wore out, decided to buy this time and much better. But it has two cheap lock tabs on it (one to lock in, other to lock out) and one was broken when it arrived. Not a big deal, I don’t use either. But if you do, specify better packaging. I think it got broken in the mail.

This cat door is cute and practical. My husband installed it with relative ease. Obviously there is cutting and sizing involved, but not much more than any other similar product. My only suggestion would be some sort of way to hold the cat door open temporarily so it is easier to train the cat to go in and get the hang of going in and out. Our cat is a little skittish and it took her a while to use it. Overall, I like it.

My chunky boy doesn't fit all the way through the door it was easy to set up and has become a laugh any time he tries to go through it.

This cat door is really cute, and it's just the right size for cats. It took a day or two for our barn cats to figure it out, but now they love it. I especially like that it's big enough for the cats to come through, but too small for our other outdoor farm animals to follow (which is great because they need to stay outdoors or in their own shelters). So now the cats can come inside, but still go out mousing on the property any time they want.We used this on an external door but ended up having to use our own screws. The longest included screws were about 1/4 inch too short. But once we used our own screws, everything worked perfectly. Despite the screws being too short, I'm still giving this product a 5 star review because it's perfect for what we needed (and the screw problem was easy to solve). Overall, I like it a lot.

We have strange sized old doors. But a cat door became necessary. This cat door was able to fit on a door that had multiple thicknesses to it. This works for one slim kitty, one medium sized cat, and one cat who is the size of the cat door.
