Overall, this is a good scratching post. If you have the type of cats that can go through the cardboard scratchers in seconds, and tear through the wrapped style sisal rope, this is a good model to look for.The Good:-Tall unit, allowing cats to get a good stretch on-Sisal material seems solidly applied-For my cats at least, no question of attraction. I had to step away for 2 minutes mid-way through assembling, and by the time I returned they were already working it-Super Easy to assemble, tool included. The hardest part is holding the two pieces of the base straight while getting the bottom mount screws in-"Mostly" stable base (see below)The Bad:-The MDF board used for the base seems to be pretty low quality (not sure if would even count as medium density). This is pretty common with the cat towers and the like, but this particular base seemed a bit weaker than normal. I could hear the compression when I barely tightened the screws. I have concerns it may need reinforcing before long.-The height to base ratio allows more rambunctious cats (like mine) to tip it. I ended up putting it against a corner to keep them from knocking it over.-The felt covers of the base, top, and seams feel pretty weak. Luckily, the cats don't seem to care about the base or top, but I imagine they will shred the felt covering the seams pretty quickly.Summary:I knocked off 1 star for the issues, but overall I'd still say this is a worthwhile scratching post, even at the price. Just as an example, we bought a cheaper post for the cats for Christmas that wasn't as tall, has sisal rope on the top half, carpet material on the bottom. In less than 90 days, they have completely shredded the carpet parts and already done some shredding of the sisal rope wrap. I'm fairly certain this one will hold up a good bit longer (other than possibly having to shore up the base a bit).

Our 3 cats absolutely love this scratching post. It came with all of the necessary hardware and was super easy to put together. Took about 5 minutes max to fully assemble the scratching post. 2 of our 3 cats couldn't wait for me to finish building the climber before trying it out. This scratching post is really sturdy. I like that the post needs 4 screws (included) instead of 2 like we've seen in other ones. The soft carpet covering is nice and soft if they want to lay on it while scratching. Definitely recommend.

The cat loves to sharper her claws in it. It’s a perfect size for a long large cat.

First, this post is super easy to assemble it's literally three pieces and takes all of 5 minutes if that. Its out together really well and has taken tons at abuse from my hyper cat. She goes at it for hours a day, and even after months of abuse it is still rock solid. My cat actually likes climbing up it and sitting on top like King of the castle lol. This is a really nice post for the money, and it is completely worth it.

This thing is HUGE and my cats LOVE it. It allows them to get the purrfect stretch. They sit on top of it sometimes and act like the kings/queens of the world.

Good functional cat scratcher. Nice quality and the style fits well in my dad's man cave. The cats started using it as soon as it was put together. 4 stars only because it is a bit awkward to assemble. The bottom support is made of two pieces, so it was a little awkward to get everything screwed in. Other than that, great quality.
