Son-in-law collects growlers and he is happy with this gift. Came with an 'L' monogram even though listing did allow me to change to a 'J'. I guess not such a big deal as the listing did say 'L'. I just thought I'd been able to change it. My son-in-law wants to keep it as he thinks that's funny. He'll tell people the 'L' is for my name since I bought it for him. Lol.

No idea why the different letters had such a price difference, but I was happy with the L. I tell everyone it says "ALE" (pronounced ELL)The metallic lids do rust over time, but I replaced with plastic ones that I bought separate.
