What can I say? Just like Silvervine, only certain cats react to catnip. I always knew I had a combo of both cats so went for it considering I have cats who love to chase and lick and carry round things.50/50 win out of my 3 observable cats. I cannot say if the other 2 enjoy them (1 is half feral and God Forbid I catch her playing, other is my dying for love skittish boy who wants to play with the other cats but if any of us move wrong he will run). I put one in my window sill so they heard the rolling sound (carpeting), one on my bed, tossed one at my closet, threw one in the kitchen... You get it.I was surprised Mr. Orange himself, Percy, did not take to it right away, but that may be because he was being picky for sound vs smell? White Casper takes to everything when playful. And Queen Loki... well... she will drive the others away if she feels like it.So I would call this a win.Unlike the other types that are mounted, being able to have these free-rolling made the cats more interested.1 week later- 2 out of 3 interested with silvervine vs catnip balls still tied.I will call this a good value for the entertainment and cost.

My 3 cats LOVE catnip, so I was sure they would love these when I ordered them. When I opened the bag for the first time, my male cat came right over, but as soon as I set the ball down, he sniffed it and lost interest. I tried rolling it across the floor, and got no reaction. Generally my cats are quite playful, but this did not excite them. It's been rolling around my floor for several days not, and I have not seen any of the cats play with it. They are very heavy (like a shooter marble), so I don't know if that makes them loose interest, since they can't bite it or pick it up? Other cats may love this, and the quality seems solid, but it was not a success with my cats.

one of my cats isn't interested in this, the other is. i like that these are less messy than giving traditional catnip in leaf form. i also like that these essentially function as double enrichment- both a toy and catnip treat. if your cats respond to catnip and you don't want to deal with the mess of leaves, this is a cool option to try.

The cat was very curious with the first one I gave them. It was played with like crazy! Unfortunately, subsequent balls were not greeted as fondly. That’s okay though; with the great price I think it is worth it to give it a try.

My kitties love these catnip balls! They are a hard pressed ball about the size of a shooter marble, and the cats are fascinated with the clatter they make rolling across the wood floor. It sounds like a little bowling ball is rolling down the hallway. Then they catch the ball and found out it’s actually made out of catnip, and they were even more interested. We are parsing these out, you definitely don’t want a bunch of these all over your house making a racket, they get one at a time and sometimes we have to get it out from under the couch for them. It’s very entertaining to watch them play with these with each other.

My cat takes a little while to warm up to new things, but I noticed the next day after receiving these that she was licking and batting one of catnip balls around the house. So, that’s a good start. This catnip ball set includes 11 balls that are about an inch in diameter. The balls are sturdy and don’t easily break apart, making them less messy than the loose dried leaves. It’s a toy. It’s a treat. All in one. Worth a try for the price.

Sadly my 3 cats were only interested in these for a minute or two. Saw one cat bat one of the balls twice. After that, they didn't bother with them at all. You might have better luck, but for my cats, this wasn't a win.

I grabbed these for my 10 year old cat, who loves catnip and he didn’t hesitate to investigate when I tossed one onto the floor. He spent some time sniffing before he started rolling it around and chasing it. As I write this, he is laid across the carpet napping next to one of the balls.I’d say he’s a fan.I appreciate that they’re affordable, 100% natural, no odor and the balls are smooth and tightly pressed, so there aren’t little catnip pieces falling off.Would definitely recommend to any cat parents out there
