I like the style on this one. I have some issues with the hanging ones that make it so the yarn gets caught around the post. But this way the yarn doesn't have that issue with the flow.Overall, it works well but there is a little bit of tension when working on something that is a little larger in skein size. It's a nice size and looks compact and small enough on my desk that leaves it so we're able to move it around easily.

This yarn holder moves smoothly and is heavy enough that it doesn't move unless my yarn gets tangled on its ball. A little bit more weight would help with those situations. I love that you don't need to put it together. It's ready right out of the box. The pole isn't exactly centered, but it doesn't touch the sides of the base when turning so it has no functional impact. I've been wanting a bottom-turning yarn holder, and I'm happy with this one.
