This monopod works great in stadiums where room is tight, and a traditional tripod (which is very stable for folks with long lenses) is too big and bulky to use. I use a 200mm lens and do high speed videos of my son swimming. It is perfect in tight places. I'm doing videos and photos and need to be holding the camera anyway so it's quite stable for what I'm doing.Yes, if you are using a long lens with a remote shutter release and need a stable sturdy mount, GET A TRIPOD, don't compare this to a TRIPOD. They have different applications. I love this stand, and always have folks taking pics of it so they can order one for stadium use.I'm very happy with this product. The only suggestion I have to the manufacturer is to remove the tilt options at the base, I don't know why anyone would want to use that, but maybe some folks want to lean over for close up shots near them or shooting up toward the sky.

I don't usually write reviews but I couldn't find where to contact technical support. The monopod is good but there is no way to tighten the legs. One permit the 3 is loose from the beginning and there is no way to tighten it. And on Amazon, how do I get in touch with someone to arrange an exchange?

Looks good.Works well!!Adjustable to a very tall height.The extra wide feet make it very sturdy, you could leave it without holding it.It's adjustable and the latches are secure, and you can tighten them if they become loose. The fluid head works well. It's a bit slow to my taste, but does what it's meant to. It breaks down easily, and can be used several different ways.All together is a great monopod. I gladly would have paid more for it. The only drawback is that it's not carbon fiber! So it does have a little bit of weight to it. But even so it's a very solid aluminum built!!Everyone has a different criteria for judging things, so I'm not crazy about recommending anything..... but I do love this monopod!! 🙋🏻♂️😉👍UPDATE:In a few weeks it will be 2 yrs since I purchased this monopod. And I still stand by my words above about it. And I use it on a regular basis. I'm still very happy with my purchase and glad I have it!!

Bought mine back in July 2021. I wanted something that could deal with the weight of a Nikon D7500 along with the Nikon 200mm-500mm lens as well as extended long enough for overhead shots. It has worked very well for me, it handles the weight of my setup perfectly. I use it for bird photography and it really helps to keep stress off of my shoulders, they're not in the best of shape. It isn't the lightest so if that's really important to you I'd look elsewhere. My only real complaint is that it gets loose in the Summer and stiff in the Winter which can be annoying when carrying or setting up a shot though it's nothing too annoying.

Great: came with two mounting plates. I thought I had read all the details, but low and behold, I was happily surprised to find not one, but two mounting plates, each with 3 different mounting screws of varying diameter (1/4, 3/8, etc).The use case for me was to have a grab and go Mount for my wonderful 10x50 astronomical binoculars from APM. They are great optical instruments, but best when served on a stable mount.This time, I wanted an easy grab and go mount, to carry on the plane, to Kona in Hawaii. The Cayer FP34 aluminum mount was flawless.First off, with binos that end up being pointed from the zenith to the horizon, I need a mono pod that is tall enough to allow me at 5’ 11”, to easily pan to zenith without having to bend at the knees (who? me? lazy?).This monopod serves the requirements well. I did need to extend the top and middle sections fully, and had to extend some the bottom section to get the final bit of height I needed, but that’s ok.Holding binos like the 10x50 APMs steady, without a mount is impossible, and with the Cayer, I was able to whip the thing out, plant it on the ground, point the binos at a target and pause for only a second before I had perfectly stable views of the sky.The tripod legs worked well enough to allow me to leave the binos on the mount, unattended, and they never toppled over once. Note, I cant say that with the first two sections of the leg fully extended and the last leg pulled out about 10 inches, that it was able to hold everything as stable as my APM Fork Mount on my 3 inch diameter legged tripod from Tiffen, but that setup weighs tons more and you can’t throw it in the overhead on a flight.The Cayer did well enough to hold the binos in place - without vibration or shakiness that I could release a segment of leg and slide it down to let my 9 yr old son enjoy the view and then slid it down a bit further for my 7 yr old daughter to view - while it rested solely on the tripod —- while I kept my hand close by just in case.The Cayer handled it well.Price-wise, I think it’s important that we all notice that prices have skyrocketed on Amazon, Walmart and other retail platforms. The increases are not localized to one or two, but across all retail distribution channels - damned by supply chain issues constraining supply and raising input costs, compounded by exploding demand, and combined with the given reality of too much money afloat in our economy (thank you for all the excess cash supply Messers Fed Banks across the globe), I was happy to find a $10 discount offer from Amazon bringing the price to ~$99.I would have expected ~$70 before CoVID, but am ok with the ~99 I had to pay for it now. It’s worth it I’m my mind, and it works.Finally, it feels and looks to be high quality; well done!

Overall: You are getting a nice quality monopod in the budget price territory. Nice bang for the buck for an aluminum monopod. Good for what you need and probably looking for.Build: Very sturdy build. The grips are thick where they should be. Legs and bottom tripod legs have a nice solid construction. The legs fold out with a nice satisfyingly sound.Performance: It hold everything I need it to with mainly using it for time lapses and holding Sony mirrorless cameras. With the carrying case it makes it convenient to carry around.Value: Compared to a lot of other monopods on amazon this is a good quality one. When I need a budget tripod I got with Cayer because I have been very satisfied with their quality to price point before.
