These are expensive but it’s a very nice looking cap. I needed a second, bigger, one too but I couldn’t find a matching one. It’s well made, esthetically pleasing and easy to install.

The propaganda suggested it would fit a 12" flu. It is too big. The set screws would not tighten properly to the top of the chimney. I had to line the cap's inside edge with pieces of aluminum hockey stick to work as a shim to allow the set screws to hold it in place. Otherwise it works good.

They're a lot prettier than most caps but they didn't fit even though I measured correctly or so I thought.

I placed it on the chimney opening to stop the rain from coming in and I tightened the screws so the cap does not move. Tough material and looks pretty. Sideways rain might be able to get in because it is a bit too tall. Very easy to install. #female-installer

This is a very high quality item, no problem installing it. Since my flue was oblong I had to use some caulking to seal around the sides. This is heavy and should last a long time. It also looks great on the chimney. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a very high quality cap. I don't think anyone will be disappointed with this unit.
