With just an Aux cord or USB input you can play your old CDs! I often want to buy CDs at thrift stores or similar and realized that my new (ish) car from 2017 doesn't even have a physical player of any kind. I got this to try out my couple of finds and it solves the issue! It's a short cord so you need to have an idea of where to place it or get a USB extender or longer cord but it reminds me of listening to my CD player on the bus in school in the 2000's lol. No real complaints but it might skip if you jostle it a lot! Easy to use, so no complaints!

You should know first that I did not use this for my car. My old CD player was not working on my home stereo, so I figured I give this a try.Easy hookup to my Sony integrated amplifier, and even easier to use with earbuds, or headphones when using the correct jack. It comes with the remote, and that is the only way you can see what the CD player is doing. there is no visual screen on the player itself. They do give you a long USB connector so you don't have to go out and buy an extender.Although I am not an audiophile, the sound quality coming out of my amp/speaker system is quite good. Much better than a streaming server (unless you paid money for the top of the line streaming service.) I am quite happy with this.Pleas note, if the unit is plugged in (i.e. the unit is "on") it will remain on, and you can feel heat coming from the bottom of the unit. So make sure you turn it off when finished listening.I am old school and have 100's of CD's. Lots of them are collectable and sometimes you cannot find them on-line, believe it or not.As mentioned, I am very happy with this. Build quality is quite good. It feels really sturdy. It functions well so far. No glitches or skips.I would recommend this to a friend who enjoys listening to music on CD's.

I needed a simple portable cd player for some old audiobook cds, and this does the job ok, but I can hardly believe the price tag! This shouldn’t cost more than $20 in my opinion. It’s pretty low on features, it doesn’t have the option to pause or fast-forward through a single tack, which would make sense to have for something this price. I can’t really recommend it because of that.

Tried multiple CD players in my car and this was the only one I've found that connects to the car's system via the USB port. It takes a minute for this unit to pair up with the car's sound system, so you have to be a little patient. Not as convenient as a built-in factory player, but if you've bought a late-model car with no CD player, this is a godsend. Exhibits no sensitivity to vibration or road bumps. Sometimes it doesn't automatically pair up, in which case, you have to open the lid and let it close, and then it pairs up. Be aware, the remote control only works if you are running the unit from the headphone jack, but really, it is superfluous if you're connected to the car's display system, meaning you don't have to fiddle around with tiny buttons while driving. Also, these CD player always give better sound when the signal is fed to the car via the USB cable. Using the headphone jack always makes the sound a bit sharp and thin.

Why is this product important? Corporations are cancelling much of their digital media (that you "bought") and so there is a resurgence in people wanting to own their media, through CDs and DVDs (etc). I lost my entire iTunes collection when I migrated from one MacBook to another, and so I know this problem personally.Alright, so what does this thing do and how good is it? In a nutshell it is a CR player (not "DVD player" you can use at home, in your office, or your car. This is nothing new, right? But what makes this worth owning is that it is 100% USB powered (so plug it into your car, laptop, TV, etc.) and you are good to go. It's dead-simple. No extra frills or unnecessary complications — so while it is not the most impressive physical media player — that is not how it sells itself. One of the issues with portable media players is that they have to be internally rugged. If you jostle, jolt, or bump your player you will damage it (at the worst) or at least skip. This is why "read-ahead" (buffering( technology was invented and makes this a better alternative. it's not that cards CAN'T have CD players. It is that they just don't anymore. We have moved into the digital age, and sometimes that means that "old" technology (from a few years ago) is shunted aside, and as such you need something like this to play your old disks.I like the remote control. It work from 20-30 feet (unobstructed), so you can even have your player across the office, or give control to someone who is not in close proximity to the device. This is great for audiobooks and presentations. Keep in mind that this is only the player and it does NOT have Bluetooth, so you will need to run a wired connection to your computer or other electronic device (car stereo for example), but you know that going in. So . . "for what it is," this thing rocks. it is durable and it works. It is non-pretentious and easy to use.

Works very lousy in the car. Skips and restarts on it own. Don't bother. I tried two units with the same issues.
