the FT2D fits like a glove. When the charger is plugged in shows the red led. But when the radio is charged the lit just goes blank, no green light.

The only complaint is that you have to wiggle the radio around a bit to make sure it makes contact with the charging points. Once that is done, it works.

The charger works as promised. However, Yaesu batteries require a little modification for them to work. The charger contacts will not make good contact with them. The positioning seems right, but the battery contacts have smaller openings than the generic. The charge contacts are just wide enough that they will not make good contact. I had to use a Dremel to remove some of the plastic around the battery contacts to allow the charger contacts to make a proper connection. Now the charger will charge the Yaesu and generic batteries.

Using this with a Yaesu FT3DR and an extended capacity battery pack. Works well, seems to shut off charging properly and of course is a world faster than the built-in charger system. It's about half the cost of the Yaesu which requires both the charger base and the DC wall wart supply for it.

This dock works great with my Yaesu FT3DR (purchased June 2021). It charges the radio in about half the time over the charger that is included with the radio. The dock takes about 4.5 hours to charge a dead radio. While charging, the radio will not show anything because the radio is being charged directly through the battery instead of being passed through the radio via the charging port. There is an indicator light that shows red for charging, green for charged, and flashing green shows it is about to finish charging.At $10 cheaper than the Yaesu branded dock, this is an absolute buy.

Product works just as well as my OEM charger. No problems whatsoever using it with ANY of the batteries I use in my FT3DR. In fact I use this charger more than the OEM! Great value and every bit as good as the original. Very glad I made the purchase.
