Some frames (for example, some mountain bikes with three piece pedal cranks) don't have much room between the pedals and engine.
Make sure you have at least 5/16" (8mm) of clearance. 3/8" (9.5mm) or more would be ideal.
You have to cut off a little engine sprocket cover to make it compatible with the new spring chain tensioner.
Forget this point if your bike doesn’t get the engine sprocket cover;

It’s kinda huge, the arm is much longer than my old one and the metal is like 1-2mm thicker. Much better hardware. It took a lot of rigging and I had to get creative with some washers. Used a trampoline spring from the spares on an toddler trampoline works like a dream

Havent had it on long, but its a massive improvement over the black ones with the plastic wheels. Much thicker steel, and lock nuts so nothing loosens. Havent thrown a chain yet, and my sprocket isnt even trued very well.The only reason i gave 4 stars instead of 5 was the spring it came with is hot garbage and stretched out permanently within 100 miles. Id swap out the spring asap unless your sprocket is perfectly trued and not super long

Used this to replace the wimpy cushion tensioner that came with my Luna Cycle's 3kW electric motor. I ended up cutting off a small piece of the bracket which would have stuck out unnecessarily; otherwise, this chain tensioner was perfect for the job.

Now this looks to be heavy duty. The sprocket is on a bearing. I'm not using it as intended, but making my own tensioner by combining parts. Will update with a photo later. Shipping speed was exceptional. Thanks.

Needs to come with washers so you can offset the arm with your chain but it works great as a tensioner

Does not fit. Missing directions. If it goes on as I believe it's should, you would been to drill extra holes yourself. Clearance is all off. Do not spent the cash. Spend it elsewhere!

I have bought two of these the nylon outfit the bearings went out and that thing vibrated beyond use I had to buy another one the metal star wheel one hope it better than the competitions I'm about to install the new and a new chain right now so whish me success
