Offering convenient point-and-measure precision, the infrared gun gives cooks the assurance that the surface temperature will be read with pinpoint accuracy, without coming in contact with food. Perfect for a multitude of cooking applications, it features a one-second response time that makes this ideal for measuring surface temperatures of food and checking temperatures of food being served or stored in the refrigerator or freezer. Simply point the gun at the item to be measured, press the trigger, and within a second the unit provides an accurate temperature reading. The backlit display measures 7/8-inch by 1-inch, making it easy to see. Because there is no contact with the surface of food being measured, the gun eliminates the potential of cross contamination. Monitoring temperature is essential to keeping food safe. The IN1022 also offers Maximum, Minimum, Difference and Average modes. Maximum mode displays the highest temperature among multiple targets. Minimum mode displays the lowest temperature among multiple targets. Difference mode displays the difference between the maximum and minimum temperature measurements of multiple targets. While Average mode displays the average temperature measurements of multiple targets.

This is the first time I m using this brand new gadget. I was recommended this brand. When I pulled the trigger, it kept showing 'hi'. I removed the batteries, waited for 10min and reloaded the batteries, the same thing happened. Contacted CDN and they tell me to just pull the gadget and it will display the surface temperature. I tested on a mug of tap water and another time with hot water and both times it indicated 'hi'. What a waste of money! The QC is bad!! Dnt waste your time and money buying this brand. My friends have bought other brands at a cheaper price and theirs are working perfectly. GRRRR....

was disappointed with it as was the gift receiver we thought it would read internal temperatures we were wrongI am returning both guns sorry it was my mistake
