All cemetery vigil lights are made from an anodized aluminum which has been painted. Because the cemetery vigil light is exposed to extreme outdoor weather and the extreme heat produced by candles, the paint may fade over time revealing the natural anodized aluminum color. However, this will not affect the cemetery vigil light’s ability to function as intended.
Cemetery Vigil Lights should not be used indoors, under cover or near flammable objects such as trees, brush, etc. Use at your own risk.
Our Memorial lights can hold candles for seven days, or candles for batteries, including solar candles. However, it needs you to purchase separately. The lamp body part is just provided here, but not include the candle.

The spike should be longer. Very expensive for plastic etc.

I would give no stars if I could, and I never leave product reviews. I was actually looking to return this order but cannot see where to do this. We bought this for our infant son who passed 1 year ago last September. It's the little things that give us comfort, i.e. purchasing this Memorial Candle to leave at his grave. The Memorial Candle and "straight spike" never stood straight, it was always lopsided and flimsy. We brought it home to try and fix with screws, we tried to support it with stones, it just never stood straight. Finally we took it home with us for good, hoping to return it. I hope the sellers can see this - we are heartbroken for many reasons, but this is just another blow for us. After $100 you would think you are getting a good quality item. Also, it for some reason does not take a real candle - it fits in it, but the flame quickly burns out.Our son's 1 year anniversary is this week and we will not have this at his grave site.

I thought this would have been glass and metal, the gold was plastic so I feel it was overpriced .

Overall a great product. Came on time as usual and all contents were in the package. It did come with a battery powered candle that I didn't know it had. The problem I have run into is that I put a real candle in it and it seems to keep going out. Not sure if the holes aren't getting enough air into it or if it's made just for the battery powered candle. My boyfriend is going to do something to it and hopefully the real candle will stay lit. We have also tried the same candle in a different memorial light and it works fine in there so it can't be the candles we are using.

The candle works well, but turned color the first week. The cross is only gold, the remaining candle turned to an aluminum color. That should have never happened.
