This center brake light was pretty easy to remove and install. You need to have the proper tools however in order to remove the old light. Which you can purchase on Amazon. The Audi service department wanted to charge my wife $400.00 to replace and install the new center light. It took me about 15 minutes to remove the old light and install the new light. If you need to replace your center brake light, I highly recommend this.

I was confused as to why my center light brake light alert was showing up on my dashboard even though my original brake light was working. I found online that when they start to go bad they will make the alert light up. This replacement light worked perfectly and my alert is gone.

It's a bit bigger than the OEM for Audi A4 Quattro 2013, however if you rip out the LED panel from the oversized frame, you can swap it to the OEM frame and toss the failed OEM LED panel. The inner LED panel fits the OEM one. Just youtube a video how to replace it yourself. Otherwise satisfied, it will surely last at least couple of years

I actually have an A5 and this is designed for the A4 supposedly (I will compare them when I remove mine) so I plan on doing some modifications to it. Audi charges a fortune for this simple LED bar and the one in my vehicle already has several of the LEDs burned out. So my third brake light has missing spots in it and looks pretty awful. My plan is to take out the unit from my vehicle and if it is not a direct fit, I will remove the bar out of it and just swap it for the Audi unit. I believe even if the physical size of the units different from A4 and A5, the plug should be the same. So before I do anything I will plug this one in and verify that it works correctly. For the price Audi charges for a simple bar with several cheap LEDs on it, I am willing to roll the dice on a cheap aftermarket piece. My biggest concern with the aftermarket is the longevity of the LEDs. If these things burn out as quick as the Audi I am gonna be pretty pissed about it, but at least I wont be out a few hundred dollars for such a stupid simple part.

I was surprised that this was not a complete part. The LED bar was missing. Just a plastic enclosure. We usually need to replace this part because some or all LEDs are going out. So, getting just a plastic part without an LED bar was a waste of time. Returned for a refund.
