They work with the slim hexagonal sockets they have in Switzerland, and will fit the other sockets in the rest of Europe (not UK)

This is a nice adapter but listed dimensions are off; it's not 2 x 2 x 2, it's 3.5 x 2 x 2. This could be a problem if ordering a case

I've found it's both expensive and hard to find adapters once you're already in Europe. These worked beautifully on a recent trip, and the cost was very reasonable, so I was happy to have a couple of spares along.

- "Ceptics USA to Europe Asia Plug Adapter": Solidly built, and held together with a Philips screw, so you can take it apart if needed. Contrary to what some reviews state, it fits perfectly in to the French / German type Schuko sockets. The text printed on the bottom of my adapters is: 125V/250V 6A CE L-03- "Ceptics European Plug Adapter Type C Power Adaptor, Convert from America Type A USA to EU Europe Asia Italy Plug Outlet Adapters Adaptor (6 Pack) (6PK-AE)" These are held together with a screw that has a triangular drive head, however they can NOT be removed with a 2.3mm triangular bit. A Y1 bit does work (looks like a Phillips bit with 3 fins instead of 4). The spring metal inside is riveted to the pins, so it should last for a long time. The text printed on the bottom of my adapters is: 125V/250V 6A CE L203

The Ceptics Europe Asia plug adaptors worked perfectly. They are well made and most importantly, they stay in the power socket when inserted without falling out or losing contact. (I've had other brands that didn't work as well, but I am very happy with this purchase.) Also, the price was fantastic for the number you get. At first I thought that maybe I wouldn't need as many, but it took the stress out of traveling as I had one for each laptop power cord, another couple for the USB power blocks used for our phones, another for my wife's tablet and so on. Great buy. Would definitely purchase them again (if for some reason I needed more). And just so people know, this does not change voltage. This adapter just makes it so that the vertical prongs that US power plugs use can now be inserted into European or Asian power sockets. You still need to make sure that whatever it is that you plug in has the ability to work with 110 volts (used in US) and 220 volts (used in Europe and Asia). Most laptops and portable electronic gadgets from the last 5-10 years are dual voltage, meaning that they already handle both US and European voltages. The problem that these adapters solve is that even if the laptop or tablet power supply is able to handle both 110 and 220 volts, you still have to be able to plug it into the European-style power socket. And that is why you would buy these adapters, because they allow you to plug your voltage-compatible gear into a European/Asian-style power socket, basically converting the prongs from a US-style plug to a European-style plug. Why you want these particular adapters: They are well made. They hold both sides of the plug and socket and don't allow plugs to fall out or lose connection until you decide to take the plug out of the power socket. And the price is right.

I purchased these adapters for a trip to France, Luxembourg, and Belgium, and they worked great! The "European" (plug) side of the adapter fit perfectly in all of the sockets, and the plugs on our American electronics/devices all fit very snugly in the "American" (socket) side of the adapter -- not too tight, and definitely not too loose. I purchased six of the adapters, and brought a bunch of American extension cords with me; I plug an adapter into a European socket, and plug an American extension cord into the adapter, and then I can plug up to three devices into the extension cord. Doing it that way, six adapters can service up to 18 devices from six different sockets. We also have some adapters that we purchased several years ago for travel in the UK. Don't be fooled -- the UK adapters and the European adapters look similar, but they are not compatible. If you will be traveling to 'continental' Europe, you cannot use UK adapters. The Ceptics adapters are the least expensive of the ones I was able to find, but they did a fine job. I recommend them to anyone who will be traveling to Europe. (They supposedly also work in Asia, but I have firsthand experience with them only in Europe.)NOTE: These adapters are non-grounded/2-wire only. If you have any grounded (3-prong) plugs, you will need to purchase a grounded adapter, such as this one:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0038L54ZO/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1We brought both grounded and non-grounded adapters with us, and were covered on all fronts.

I ordered this set of 12 Ceptics USA to Europe Asia Plug Adapters about 2 weeks ago for a trip to Central Europe (Poland, Czech Republic, and Slovakia). I am still in Europe, and I'm using one of the adapters to charge my laptop as I type this. The adapters were shipped in a bubble wrap padded shipping bag, which works as a nice place to store them when not in use. So far, I have not has any issues using the plug adapters in any of the 3 countries I have visited. One thing to note is the adapters do not change the voltage of the outlet, so make sure you check the label of any device you plan to plug in while using the adapters (the label should list an input voltage). All the electronic devices I have with me (my laptop charging cord, my camera battery charger, and my phone charging cord) all have an input voltage of 100V - 240V. I believe most new electronic devices should have a similar rating, but it is always best to check. Though I certainly didn't need 12 adapters, for about $8 I don't feel the need to worry if I forget one somewhere. Hope you enjoy your future trip!
