I recommend this underchair floor protector pad! I understand that everyone's needs will be different, but for me, this one ranks much better than a lot of the thinner, plastic or pvc (whatever they are made of) mats. In addition, if your chair has already done some ugly damage to your floor, this mat will hide that! I ordered a similar one awhile back and when I saw this one I had to have it for another computer set up!It's flexible but thick and the rubber backing isn't flimsy at all. It will arrive folded in a box, but lay it out flat and be patient - the creases will work themselves out. A computer chair will roll nicely on this pad.In my opinion, you need not view this floor protector mat only as for use under a computer chair - it's very nice looking and will easily fit in anywhere. It looks much more expensive that it is. I can see it fitting in perfectly in an entryway or anywhere else.

I recently started working from home and my office area is carpeted.I ordered this because I thought it might work better than the semi rigid mats that inevitably crack. It’s definitely more attractive. While it does not create a hard surface, it is much easier to roll a chair across than the installed carpet.The material is very heavy and had a smooth but sort of tapestry like texture. There’s a non slip backing and the colors are bright. I’ve been using it for 2 weeks and I’m very pleased with it. There are no signs of damage, the size is perfect, it vacuums easily and it’s met my needs well, even if I’m not using it exactly as intended,

This is a flat woven mat, with a rubberized backing.As such, it is not "rug-soft" on bare feet. But it isn't intent to be. It's intent to protect hardwood type flooring from wear, while still allowing a office chair to roll.The rubberized backing I find to be slip-resistant, it will move around some.While relatively durable, it will wear. Thus has its own lifespan. But then no mat, under such conditions will last forever.While it can be washed in a washing machine, you will need an XL machine. (I just wash mine in the bathtub.)

Nice chair mat for my hardwood and luxury vinyl plank (LVP) floors. I don't want chairs to mar either of my types of floors, and this mat does a fine job of protecting the floors. The weight is good and the appearance is good. The price is a little high.
