Like other reviews have said, it is hard to get the mat flattened out after you take it out of the box. It was really hard to get it rolled out and I had to put a table on it for a few days to get it flattened. Once it’s flattened out though it is a great product.

Takes a lot of time to straighten but once it’s settled it is very durable and nice. Chair sits stable and easy to move around.

Excellent mat for the price, strong, thick material. Lots of people here complaining about how hard it is to get it to lay flat. Since is winter right now, I placed mine on top of the floor vent for a about thirty minutes, it lay down flat with little effort.

Is very thick for our high pile carpet. Was a challenge to unroll even after 24 hours. Have had small rugs and bricks on it for a week and it is still not flat. Just send it flat and charge a little extra please.Update: even after 3 weeks continue to use bricks to get the edges to stay down. Directions say - put in sun, use a hair dryer or put weights on it. Winter temps not above 45, don't want to damage with a hair dryer, 2 40lbs. weights have been used in different areas of it for more than 3 weeks. Now have to decide in the next day to return or not. Has been a headache but, is there a better option?Third and final update. Blood, sweat and tears of joy getting this thing coiled backup and sent back. Used a couple ratchet straps, old tarp pieces and returned to sender.Felt that the one i got was old and the memory on the plastic was just not going to go straight again after being coiled up so long. The thiner ones might be easier but this took its toll. I thought about just throwing it away but, the seller never reached out or responeded so they can deal with it now.

The chair mat was laid atop new carpet in front of an office desk. It was unsuitable for the intended purpose. The mat required daily repositioning as it moved when the chair was in use. It also was too thin as it easily developed indentations from the chair. The manufacturer could offer no solution and it was too expensive to obtain the necessary packaging to return to Amazon so it was simply a loss.

After years of searching, we finally discovered this heavy-duty computer chair matt that is thick enough to use over a deep piled carpet. Please read the directions before unrolling this matt. Ours was very well boxed and arrived in perfect condition, but it took several days to unroll, as it was delivered in freezing temperatures. It was well worth the wait, however, and it now lays perfectly flat. I will definitely purchase from this company again.

Packaging was no good. Carpet saver was rolled so tight that it took 4 days to get flattened.

The mat is thick...I was impressed how long it took it to flatten out after unboxing (I actually set a box of tile on it and still took 24 hours). This is my first time getting a mat like this...so maybe I was expecting too much...but it does not take long sitting in my chair, for the mat to develop "divots" where the wheels sit. They do flatten back out after getting out of the chair a while...but while in it, you kinda get trapped in those divots and cant make small adjustments to seating position without rolling back into them. If the tabs were longer on the bottom, I doubt this would have been such an issue. I do think next time I'll just try the tempered glass style.
