I played this in New York, Texas, and soon Europe! Only down side is I lost a pawn. Wish the sellers sold the pieces separately. Still a great set!

Very cheap. Barely can distinguish chess pieces, and I only need 1.25 reading glasses! Would be ok if they charged half as much. Unless you are on a plane, just pack a larger set in the car.

I bought these for my nephews to play during long trips in the car. My brother and I had an almost exact set like this 35+ years ago. Small pieces, so there is a choking hazard for small children. Each piece has a magnet on the bottom that attaches to the board and stays while moving around. I don't know that it'll replace a cell phone with games for the young generation, but seeing this brought back many fond memories for me.

A cute gift for Christmas, but not very practical for travel. They are portable, but the magnets on the pieces aren't super strong, and don't stick to the board firmly. this makes it VERY easy to lose the pieces making the games quickly unplayable(I have already lost several of the chess pieces, and had to use one of the pawns for the checker board because i also lost a checker)
