I'm a reader/English person, and somehow this being a slide puzzle with letters instead of numbers just makes it that much more enjoyable to me! The letter tiles on mine aren't totally smooth moving yet, but I'm hoping they'll get better with time as the plastic may wear down a bit.The build of the puzzle is really nice. It has a great heft to it and the shape (indented sides) makes it fun to hold. I like that the letters are indented, in case the paint wears off over time. The only thing I wish were better with the quality is that I feel the world list should be different--perhaps made of plastic and heavy-duty. I'm concerned it may get bent or worn out over time.A tip: I feel like going in alphabetical order potentially makes the game easier, because you may already have a word partially solved just by doing the one before. I think it would be better if the words were presented in an order with letters in very dissimilar locations from one another. The easiest way to remedy this is to pick a word at random. A puzzle expert would have to determine if one or the other way is easier for sure, though, especially since the letters will get completely jumbled up in unique ways for each person playing. I could be wrong!

My kids are obsessed with this thing. It's about the size of a tablet and is, surprisingly, super fun. It's probably the most basic letter board you could think of. Letters slide around to make words... that's about it in a nutshell. It's been amazing to use with our five-year-old early reader, but even our older kids enjoy sliding the little pieces around to make words. I'd recommend this to other parents.

We love games in the house and educational fun games are an even better type of game addition.Upon initial opening, my 7 year old was ready to just give up. Once we showed her some combinations, she was mentally confident and started working through a bunch of words on her own, getting faster each day.It goes in our travel bag as well now as an alternative option of something to do instead of watching a screen.

Fun brain teaser game! Both my 8 and 10 year old couldn’t put this down. You pick a 5 letter word and then slide the tiles across the board to spell it out. My kids are working on so many skills playing this game like problem solving and critical thinking. It’s awesome! I have been looking for some different games to take with us on our next family trip and this one is perfect to take on the road and on the plane. It is pretty challenging and I couldn’t stop playing once I started to play this game too! Fun for all ages!

Mostly pros: This game scratches quite a few of my itches - satisfying sliding action (not frustrating to move and only needs an extra second or two if slightly stuck), puzzle aspect for brain tickles and of course, involves words which I adore! It’s a perfect size to travel with and the back is convenient to store the words list. It’s best played when flat as the pieces can slide easily when holding it in your hands. I’m almost tempted to get another one to keep at work for breaks! So happy to have stumbled upon this!Con: A little confused about the six letter words on the list as there are only 5 letter slots? So quite a few words are wasted on the list when other 5 letter words could have been included (hence the one star off). I wish that it had all the letters but can see how that would make sizing larger and not a big deal.

This spelling game is a fun way to help improve spelling. My daughter is enjoying fiddling with it on the couch and using it as an alternative to screentime when she needs something to fidget with and decompress after school. It's not a complicated game to play and really, anyone can play.

If you’re into word games, this is the game for you. And if you need a good one player game (hard to fine one you really like ) don’t pass this one up.It’s so satisfying.

This has been quite a bit of fun for both the adults and kids in my house. The concept is pretty simple but the sliding of the letters and figuring out pathing is the fun part.
