I’m really glad I saw these. They work exactly as shown in the picture. You just slide the hook on the clip and slide the clip through the weight. I used these fishing for bass and panfish on a shallow lake, and the 1/8 oz provided the perfect size and action. I’ve encountered zero problems with these and find them to be really versatile. I’ve Texas rigged a large worm/creature bait to drag through weedy cover, downsized the hook to target crappie in the open, and used this like a skirtless jig with a crayfish trailer to target bass around some rocky areas.

I’ve fished a lot of soft baits over the years, usually with a sliding line weight and hook or weighted jig head. I like this design. It’s offers a blend of both with the weight close to the bait and adding eyes (like a jig head) while offering more movement of the soft plastic behind because of the articulation on the hook. Haven’t fished it yet, but can’t wait to give it a try when the weather breaks.

Fish Eye Sinkers - $9.99These look realistic as heck. They are good quality weights. I have never used any disguised weights like this. I'm horrible at fishing, and I'm hoping these will help!

1. The packaging is terrible. The plastic container is held on with three staples, and only one is needed. As I took off the last staple, the container sprang open scattering the contents.2. Once the container is opened, I discovered it was challenging to remove the sinkers from their individual cells.3. It did not have instructions, and I had to refer back to the Amazon listing to figure out how to attach this to a hook.4. The worst thing was I could only fit the metal springs into 3 of the 12 sinkers.

These weights basically give you a rocker jig setup that allows you to choose your own hook. These allow you to use whatever hook you want which allows you better match the hook to the bait you are using. I found another weight that also allows this, but these are easier to switch out the hooks aside from having to cut your line off to slide the wire out to swap hooks. The only issue I ran into was that some of the weights has partially blocked holes that need to be cleaned out so you can insert the wire through them. I would also have liked the heads to be more of a football shape vs round, but I guess the round head will come through cover better. Overall these are a pretty convenient alternative to a traditional Texas rig or a rocker jig.

I think these are targeted for freshwater bass fishing but I'll be using them for redfish and snook in saltwater inshore fishing. I show it rigged very similar to a bass rig - with a 5" ZMan Trout Trick on a 4/0 hook. Note too how they ship them in a package that keeps the heads separated to assure they don't get dinged.
