Works really well and was affordable and will save you lots of money on keeping food from getting freezer burn. Plus vacuum seal meat and marinade a day or two before and you will have super flavorful meat. Great seal. Keeps food fresh and easy to use.

I got this because this past Thanksgiving, we deep fried 3 turkeys, and someone mentioned it would be great if I had a vacuum sealer because then I could package a bunch of leftovers for people to take. I have always wanted to try a vacuum sealer because I know a couple people who have them and use them often and swear by them. I also wanted this because I thought it'd be good to marinade meats. And I probably will use it for that, mostly for marinading meats but as far as everyday use, I think it's just not for me. It feels time consuming and tedious and I'm unsure how this is good for convenience or what makes it that much better than a zip lock bag. This is nothing against this particular vacuum sealer although I do wonder if the people that I know who like theirs better if it makes a difference that theirs are bigger and seem more substantial. I definitely would rather have this than not have one at all though and I think maybe it is a good starter vacuum sealer into the vacuum sealing world especially if you're unsure if you'd use it and don't want to spend a lot of money because I was surprised how affordable this one is.

Have used twice - not impressed. I’ve used the “moist” setting for both and ended up with a mess to clean up. I must be missing something.

I’m sorry to say it didn’t work out for me. I tried it a couple of times—everything seemed great at first, but then it stopped vacuuming properly, and the bags still had air in them. I’m going to order one with a built-in cutter instead. That was another challenge: having to hand-cut the bags just right so the machine could work with them.

It doesn’t work for small bags (8 inches is the smallest mine could do) over than that though it’s pretty good
