Except for being a little bulky and not fitting in a drawer very well, this thing is excellent. It easily fits and works well on both sizes of mason jars / ball jars. The attachment for wine is nice. The bags are pretty generic in a good way. So we’ve been able to just buy the grocery store vacuum seal port bags and it’s worked just fine. I don’t k owing I really understand the number read out on the display on top, but it seemingly makes it feel even fancier. Overall, really well made. Easy to use. Battery lasts a long time. We love it!

This took me a few minutes to figure out how to use it, but since then it has been smooth sailing. It has been no problem using the sealer and the initial learning curve was not difficult to overcome. We do a lot of preserving of freeze dried foods into quart jars. Many of the items we don't use at once and are used here and there. Once you open the seal on a jar, moisture is introduced and things are on a time clock. This gives us the ability to open the jar, get what we need, and seal it back up again all from the countertop.I don't use this with any of my heat process canning and am solely using for resealing jars with dry goods in them.Overall this seems to be a well built gadget, it will be getting a real test here in a few months once the garden starts producing. I will update my review if it does not live up to my expectations.

Functionality is great. Works for both regular and wide mouth mason jars. I like that it indicates the percent of air being removed.

It is pretty difficult for a new bee to understand the working from the supplied manual. At least I didn't figure out whether all air was pumped out of my wine bottle or not. After the start, the display shows reducing numbers that may be to show how many seconds left for that sealing process; but not sure. At the start and at the end of the vacuum process, some percentage figure is displayed - not sure that is percent of air remains or battery charge! So far, I have tested it only for wine bottles. The test on jars wasn't successful, as the manual rarely describes it fully. I will research that from YouTube or on the web to figure that out, later. Overall, I am not happy with it, as I don't know whether it worked or not.
