Ram 1500 5.7 resonator delete and replaced muffler with cherry bomb. I would recommend welding. I used 3 inch exhaust clamps and have a slight exhaust leak so it’s all up to your preference of perfection! It does however sound great it has a nice subtle sound at idle and when you’re cruising but is nice and loud when you get on it.

Under Product Details / Details has one measurement 29.44 x 5.56 x 5.57 Which is what we wanted but under Features another measurement of 23 x 3 x 3 just be careful when ordering of course it was to late for us to return garage already installed it before we knew measures was 23 SHOULD be changed to match not mislead Price also changes daily

It made my loud old truck sound like a stupid import. I can barely hear it running from inside the house now, it used to shake the walls. Hopefully it will burn out and get louder with time, otherwise I'll cut it off.

I cut out my stock muffler, and the resonator. Connected the Cherry Bomb to the existing 3" pipe, then ran new 3" to the tailpipe. Chopped off the last 7" of the tailpipe and added a tip that flares out to 4.5" from 3". MY TRUCK SOUNDS LIKE A B29 TAKING OFF!!!!!!!!

This thing is awesome!!! I love staring my V8 gmc truck each morning at 4:45am and waking up my apartment complex.This thing also doubles as a horn in rush hour traffic.. each time someone tries to merge into my lane I just hit the gas and BOOM!! That Prius knows who’s lane it is!!!!

I was a little bit leery about buying this muffler but after a couple of months and hours of watching videos and doing research on it I finally pulled the trigger. I had a flowmaster on my 2005 f150 5.4L V.8 and wanted a deeper sounding muffler that was louder at idle. It was shipped very fast and I put it on the next day. It has a deep, low rumble at idle and it sounds great going down the highway. No youtube video will do this muffler justice, once you put it on you'll love it for life. Another thing to remember is that these mufflers get louder as the fiberglass burns out over the course of about a year. If your on the edge about buying this muffler I would definitely buy it. It gives you the best sound for a fair price. Just remember that you will get a little more noise in the cab.

I have been thinking about making my truck sound like a truck for a while. This Cherry Bomb 87517 really gets the job done. It was installed by a muffler shop in 20 mins for less than $100.00. I just simply replaced my stock muffler, and kept my factory pipe. Looking at this Cherry Bomb you would think it would be loud as hell. It actually soaks up the hi-pitch and crackle noise. Whats left is a nice mellow deep note. I was worried a little about being obnoxious to my neighbors, but that is a non issue as long as i dont goose it too early in the am. In my opinion, my GMC 5.3 sounds great now. I only bought this muffler for the sound, not power gains. I wish I put it on years ago. Its cool.
