Fun but doesn't get every pit out - so be careful! It's important to get the cherry on the right spot first and then press down. It only happened with a couple cherries, the rest were pitted with the fruit intact. So that's a good thing! HOPE THIS HELPS!

My wife and I won’t even consider ordering a cherry pitter that pits less than four cherries at a time. We love cherries and usually freeze 20-30 pounds of sweet cherries each summer around mid-July. In addition, the three sour cherry trees in our backyard produce at least that amount and the Nanking cherry tree in the front yard gives us 10-15 pounds. That’s a lot of cherries that need pitting before being frozen. This pitter originally appealed to us for a number of reasons; it could handle seven cherries at a time, it had a nice compact design, and it looked as if keeping it clean wouldn’t be too hard. Having rushed out and purchased some early cherries so that we could try it out, we’ve been slightly less impressed. The reasons are as follows;-While I have no objection to the wide use of plastic in the construction of the unit, I must admit that I was disappointed to find that the skewers which pierce the cherry and push out the seed are made of plastic rather than steel. They work acceptably well for now but I can see them breaking or chipping with heavy use,-The unit is designed specifically for large, sweet cherries. Smaller sour cherries end up getting pushed entirely through the hole rather than being pitted. This problem could have been solved had the manufacturer included a second cherry holder with smaller holes, and,-Removing the cherry holder from the base which collects the seeds can be very difficult if it is not seated perfectly. This is annoying; you must pay close attention to realigning the cup every time you remove it to dump the cherries it contains.Putting aside these complaints, the pitter works fairly well; it requires a fair bit of force but the cherries are most often successfully pitted. Like similar devices we have tried, the seeds are often not totally removed and can be left dangling from the fruit where they must be separated by hand; it seems that the points of the skewer aren’t long enough or sharp enough to completely severe the pits from the cherry itself.I certainly do like how easy this pitter is to clean, how it contains any mess to a small area, and the fact that it’s compact design makes it easy to store; we will certainly use it when pitting sweet cherries as it has the potential to be a real time saver. While it is useful for those with lots of cherries to pit, I feel that the current price of $26 CAD is rather high given the quality of the construction and its limitations (especially not being able to pit smaller cherries).

This cherry pitter has quickly become a favorite tool in my kitchen. If you bake, make jam, or just snack on cherries like I do, this gadget is a major time-saver. This let's me pit multiple cherries at once, and the push-button mechanism is surprisingly smooth and easy to use. It only took me a few minutes to prep enough cherries for a whole pie.I especially appreciate the splatter guard, it really helps keep juice from getting everywhere, which is a nice bonus when you’re working fast. Cleanup is also straightforward, as the parts come apart easily for washing. My only complaint is the size. It’s a bit bulky and takes up more drawer space than I’d like. But overall, the convenience outweighs the storage issue for me.If you want to process a lot of cherries at once, this is a great tool to have on hand.

This is super effective and works rapidly. Pressing down to remove the pit is super low effort and it cuts through seamlessly. I didn't expect this to work so smoothly, but the blade glides through the pit cleanly. It won't damage the cherry or make any of the juice leak out, just remove the seed. This is an amazing feature because a lot of cherry pitters get super messy and spread the red juice everywhere.I used it to pit 3 pounds of cherries and I have zero complaints. The tool itself is lightweight for easy storage and you can clean it just by running some tap water over it. By the way, I sometimes use it for olives and other small fruits because I find it's very versatile too.Everytime about it is quite sturdy and it won't break easily. Glad I got this. It has great value and quality and has saved me so much time! I used to individually cut each cherry and remove the seed but this has saved my life. Now I can prepare fruits for my baby without the hassle and make tons of jam easily. I used to avoid cherries just because I was too lazy to pit them or I didn't have the time but now I can enjoy my favorite fruit more often. Handy gadget!

I found this cherry pitter to work relatively well. It allows me to conveniently drop in 7 jumbo cherries (not bothering to position them any specific way), put the lid on top and then plunge down and end up with 7 perfectly pitted cherries within seconds. Rinse and repeat. Very simple process and makes pitting cherries extremely convenient. It doesn't crush the cherries at all.Aside from the pits, there's very very little waste! That said, you DO need to be able to put a little muscle into the process when plunging the top part down into the cherries. If you're older and don't necessarily have the strength or leverage, you might find this tool a little too difficult to use properly/efficiently. That is one reason I cannot give it 5 stars. It comes in 3 pieces. The base that holds the pits. The middle piece that holds the cherry, and the top piece that includes the plunger. The "blades" that pit the cherries is completely plastic, so it's not sharp (which is probably why it requires more effort). After you're done it's simple enough to dump the pits into the trash and wash each part separately. All in all, I find this to be a super convenient way to easily pit cherries and would recommend it, provided you don't have issues with upper body strength.

This weekend i had the opportunity to try this Cherry Pitter to make a Cherry Pie. This gadget saves so much time. Its quick and efficient. All you need to do is line up the cherries and push down. One easy motion. I don't have cherry juice all over the kitchen. Another key element its quick and easy to clean. I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves to bake.

This cherry season has been especially sweet, and our whole family is loving it—even our little parrot, who goes wild for fresh cherries! Since cherry pits can be toxic to birds, I needed a quick and safe way to prep them, and this cherry pitter has been a total game-changer. It pits seven cherries at once (yes, really!) and the removable splatter guard keeps things tidy. It’s sturdy, super easy to clean, and works like a charm. We’ve used it every day and it still feels brand new. Definitely a must-have for cherry lovers—feathered or otherwise! 🍒🦜

Not going to lie, pitting Cherries is a huge pain in the butt and I worry about my younger kids so I make sure to do it before I give them. I love love eating Cherries as well as make pies: this has been a game changer. I wish I had bought it sooner!

This cherry pitter is cool. It works really well, removing the pits without damaging the shape of the cherry. Its easy to use and the cherry tray and pit holder are easy to clean. The plunger is a little harder to clean, but scrubbing with a brush makes it easier. The only improvement I might suggest is to enable the handle/plunger to twist lock on instead of it just sitting on top to make it easier to store.
