Kitchenator Chicken Shredder arrived nicely packaged and without damage. All pieces were easily identifiable and of good craftsmanship. It washes easily and doesn't snag on the sponge. I used a longer bristle brush for cleaning around the shredders. I have added this tool to my meal prep assembly line and it does a fantastic job! Depending on how much chicken you put in the shredder, it is even easy to rotate by hand without using the two handles. None of the shredded chicken has gotten out of the bowl during shredding either. it does everything it is supposed to do and I am really pleased with it! Definitely a good value for the money!

This thing rips. We have shredded pot roast and chicken with this with zero issues at all. It’s a solid unit despite being made out of plastic. There is a middle tray that you slide over the shredding tines that allow you to easy extract the shredded meat. Just lift up and that’s as easy as can be.Take note that there is an orientation arrow on the tray for re-installing the meat tray back in. if you do not line the arrows up, you won’t get the tray back in.Super easy to clean, and it works really well!

I gave this product one star because what is advertised is NOT what you get. A typical shredder consists of a base plate, an insert tray, and a lid. After shredding the chicken, you lift it out using the insert. Without it, you are picking chicken from between the spines with your fingers, which is annoying. The description for this shredder shows several photos clearly highlighting the insert tray (they call it a “spike plate”), yet the product doesn’t come with one. I specifically selected this product because I wanted to make sure I got that insert tray. If you are going to buy one of these, there are dozens available that have the insert tray for the same price so why get this one?As for the product itself, it’s a typical chicken shredder; you chop chicken into 2” chunks, place it in the base, put the top on, and shred for 5-15 seconds. A short time gives you chunks, and if you process it longer, you get fine threads. These things are godsends because shredding chicken with two forks is a royal pain. This one will work fine, but it’s annoying having to pick chicken out from between the spikes.

I have wanted one of these ever since I saw one advertised, and I absolutely love my Kitchenator 10" Chicken Shredder. It works perfectly. At first, I thought the lifting tray was missing because I was looking for a clear one like the one illustrated on the seller's page. However, good ole' hubby figured out that it did have a lifting tray, only it was black and blended in with the spiked base. So, the only transparent part on my shredder is the top part with the handles. Now, the only issue is that lifting the tray isn't so easy because it fits very snugly, but after using it several times, it is getting somewhat easier. The trick is getting the tray back in! Once again, ole hubby came to the rescue. He figured that there must be some alignment marks, and sure enough, there are, only they are black and hard to see. However, once you see them, they're not so hard to find (please see my photo). They are dishwasher safe, but I rarely use the dishwasher, and I find that the shredder cleans easily with hand washing.Conclusion: The shredder has met my expectations, earning a four-star review. It could have exceeded those expectations and become a five-star item if the lifting tray hadn't been so tightly fitted into the shredding base. Additionally, I believe many people might look for a transparent tray and think it is missing or find it challenging to get it seated on the base, because they do not see the alignment arrows. For the first time, I recently tried the chicken shredder, and I have to say, it’s a game-changer in the kitchen! It’s super easy to use and takes the hassle out of shredding my cooked chicken. This design is simple, with sturdy handles as I have arthritis in my fingers.What I love most about this shredder is how it eliminates the need for forks or messy hands.Overall, I highly recommend this chicken shredder to anyone who cooks regularly.
