I was excited for this cause it works with (and matches) and ryobi products, but the spray was not continuous and it clogged fast. I was using paint that had sat out and may have gotten thick or clumpy, so I took everything apart and cleaned it and will give it another shot with newer paint before I decide if I’ll be retuning it. Unfortunately I already gave away my corded sprayer thinking this one would be as decent as other reviews said.

I was looking for a cordless sprayer to work with stain for the siding on my old house. I have a lot of the battery operated Ryobi line. This sprayer was perfect! So easy to use and did a beautiful job. Easy to clean. Truly made staining the north side of the house a breeze.

Expecting quick work. No batteries, 2 days later, then the paint needs to be thinned to reach the correct viscosity "not supported by BEAR mfg". Wound up rolling it on and now own something I could not use.

I purchased this to paint lattice around the bottom of my house where electricity would be difficult to reach certain places. I had to purchase a battery separately, which was kind of expensive, but it was well worth it. I never used a paint sprayer before so was not sure what to expect. I was dreading the cleaning of the gun afterwards, but it really wasn’t any worse than cleaning a tray & roller. My biggest challenge was pouring the paint in the jug from a gallon of paint. Next time I will get one of those pouring shields that clip to the side of the can. It did the job beautifully, had no problems with it clogging (but it was brand new paint). Worked well with my Ryobi 18V batteries. I went with brand name batteries, but may try another cheaper knock off for a backup.

When this sprayer comes, it does not give much direction on the ratio of how much paint and water is put into the sprayer. We used water-based paint. My husband went on YouTube and really did his research before we started painting. If you are painting a ceiling, wear a hat, gloves and goggles. If you are painting a wall, make sure you tape the molding and cover the floor with plastic otherwise lots of wiping up of sprayed paint. It covered good but don't be in a big hurry when spraying.
