When we get together for our extended family Christmas Party, we close the night by visiting my Dad's grave, gathering around and singing Christmas Carols. This year we used these candles with the shields. The younger children had a much less dangerous time holding their own candle. It is a special experience.

These candles are perfect for religious ceremonies. They are also great to keep handy in areas where storms occur as emergency lighting.At 5" long and 1/2" diameter, these are easy to hold. They will give about two hours of burn time. They are 'dripless' and include a paper sheild for when the wax does drip. A 1/2" drill and a block of wood will make an emergency candle stand - if needed.These are not 'fancy' - they are unscented and provide light. This is exactly the use case I was looking to satisfy. 5 stars.

But perfect bulk white 5.5" length candles that will burn at least a couple hours. I don't need the paper holder to protect against the wax. Perfect basic supply candles to have on hand for emergencies or witchy needs.Please note, I received this product free as part of the Amazon Vine program. This however does not affect my personal opinion of the product. I will update my review (and rating) if my opinion on the product changes over time.

I loved the way the candles are packed. Candles are on one side, the paper wax protectors are in their own compartment.These are slightly thinner than normal tapers. They are the perfect size for outdoor use and vigils. Regular tapers would be too large. Plain white, they go with every theme.You can use these in taper candle holders too, just be sure to use the drip shields, and fix the taper firmly into the base.Highly recommend.

The product in the box is technically correct… BUT TALK ABOUT WRONG MARKETING. They came in the box pictured above. Call me crazy but most churches don’t want “spell candles.” I can’t tell if someone was being funny or malicious. Either way, not amused.
