This product looks beautiful on the desk, but it doesn’t function as well as the regular old black ones. The locking mechanism keeps sliding shut, so you have to reopen it every time you close it down. Also the alignment is off, so you have to press it down at an angle otherwise the teeth on the inside pop on top of the outside teeth and it gets stuck. It’s a piece of junk.

I got this staple remover since it looked unique and it not being too expensive, it would be a nice item to have. Unfortunately, it appears the jaws don't close properly and the acrylic parts seem to already have scuff marks from the shop. I added a rubber band to show how the jaws close, but you have to apply some force to get them to close straight.
