I figured I'd try my hand at reupholstering our kitchen stools. The hardest part is removing the original staples and there are a lot of them. This tool helps a great deal with that process. I still needed a very thin, flat screwdriver to get between the staple and wood, but this tool reduces the strain.It seems to me that if the pointed end of this tool was a little flatter, I wouldn't need the screwdriver but either way, it helps a lot to have it.

This tool made removing heavy staples so much easier. I recovered a chair seat cushion after chalk painting an old chair that I picked up at a thrift store for an accent chair. This tool made the job fast and easy.

I needed to repair a broken chair leg. In order to get into where I needed, I had to remove some of the upholstery. When I saw this tool at a big box store, I decided to give it a try. At first, it was working great and making the job a lot easier. Then, when I hit a rather stubborn staple, the tool broke. The end, where it goes under the staple, snapped off. I got maybe 30 minutes of use out of it. If you have a project where you know you'll only be needing light pressure, this might be worth it. Otherwise, get something sturdier.
