This mechanism is almost entirely plastic, so I wasn't sure how good a job it would do, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The blade is extremely sharp and cut a perfect circle quickly and easily with almost no effort. The ruler is accurate too -- I set it to 6" and got a circle that was exactly 6" across. Recommended.
