Can't get it filled with spray liquid. Such a good idea, anyway. Any help out there?

Our special needs dog barks at everything. It's quite exasperating and we've tried just about everything we can find. This collar worked as advertised - it sprays something (I think it's citronella) whenever he barks and at first it would stop him. But after a few days it no longer bothered him and he would bark regardless. I hate shock collars but I'm starting to come around to them for him. He barks at people out on the street, dogs, cats, butterflies you name it. He's a smart dog and knows he shouldn't be barking. When he does I go out the front door and make him come in, then shut the dog door. It's gotten so he barks and then runs in the house! But he still barks, and he starts with a howl like a hound. The only time he doesn't run in right away is if there's another dog or cat. Then he stays there and barks until I come out and make him come in.

We had an older model Petsafe citronella spray collar that was fantastic. Unfortunately, they don't make the same one anymore. This one stopped working after a few months and I was ready to leave negative feedback on it, but then read on another product's feedback that you can stick a needle in the hole where the spray comes out to clear it and it is now working. You also have to use a higher pitched bark sound when testing it or it won't work.The spray collars work wonders for my very noisy dachshunds that have separation anxiety and bark like crazy when we leave them. Our condo stays nice and quiet while we are gone.

The marketing material is confusing on this item. There is no charger or spray that comes with the device. You have to purchase those separately. The device works great after I got the spray. My dog has stopped barking almost completely since using and I don't need to use it all the time

The product is simply not effective. My dog was aware that it went off, but was unphased, and kept barking. I've had much meter luck with the ones that vibrate or beep at a dog for those of us who prefer not to shock our dogs to prevent them from barking.I recommend the ones with a remote control, so you can preemptively give them a beep sound when they start to growl, but before they bark. That changed my dog's behavior, while this smell did nothing for us.

Unfortunately this did not work well for me. At first it seemed like we were on the right track, I fully charged it as instructed. Worked for one day and then it seemed to be dead so I charged it again and her barking wasn’t activating the spray. So I went back to the directions (which I have to say are a little lame with the light/ button pressing combinations). There’s were also two sets of directions telling you to do two different things??I was able to get it to spray with the second set of directions instructions but it wouldn’t go off for her (very loud) bark. I was passed the time to return which I’m super bummed about. I’ve been looking for so long for something to help with my dogs outrageous alarm to people approaching the house and now I’m back to square one. Should have read the reviews more closely 👎🏻

Great product at an excellent value. Worked very well out of the box. Instructions were clear and easy to understand. Much better than just a plain shock collar.My dog is an 10 pound Yorkie that likes to bark and do his own thing.This collar do the trick.Great product and would highly recommend it.

I was fed up my dog's barking. I tried several different methods which did not work. With this collar you can easily stop the bark,I left mine on the training level it worked perfect, there were no false trigger, the ones that were given were well deserved. I would highly recommend this product, peace and quiet are worth the money spent.
