It sets up easily – just two plastic pieces that sit criss-cross – and comes apart easily. The clarinet is a tad wobbly on it, but it works fine for a bargain stand.

I love the design, and my students have been fighting over getting to use it during class. It folds flat to fit easily in a band folder or an accessory pocket. It is stable enough for a standard clarinet--once you get the legs adjusted just right.There are some rough edges from the molding process, so I took a bit of sandpaper to it for a smoother feel and to not accidentally scratch up the inside of our clarinet bells. I would NOT use this on a wooden clarinet, as those can scratch more easily and should probably have some light padding on their stand.
