I have admittedly poor posture when sitting and playing my acoustic guitar. Strapping this guitar pillow to my left leg raises the guitar up higher and allows angling the neck upward for an overall more comfortable playing position and greatly improve my posture while playing. The strap is not adjustable, but don't find it to be too tight. My only reservation with this pillow is that I'm not sure how the synthetic leather material is going to react to the nitrocellulose finish of my guitars. It's possible the black dye could leech into the finish over time or cause marring. For this reason, I always place a white cotton cloth between the pillow and guitar.

I'm always trying to get away from using foot rests with classical guitars--while they get the instrument into a good position, they're really not good for your posture. As guitar pillows go, this one sits nicely, especially if you use the elastic band to secure it to your leg. You'll be able to get your guitar into a good position, while still having your feet evenly placed on the ground, which I think makes for more comfortable performances. It also lets you sit longer while practicing without being distracted by having one leg on an annoying foot stool.

I was hoping to find a higher (thicker) guitar pillow, and this one is the same size as all the rest. I think they all come out of the same Chinese factory. The strap on this on was a little bigger, which is good. The strap was too tight on the cushion I previously ordered and eventually ended up ripping off. The strap is not adjustable, same as the previous cushion I bought. The material cover is a little softer. But, as I mentioned, the different brands of cushions that I tried are all basically the same, as if they came from the same Chinese factory and they just slapped a different brand name on it.
