I own a few acoustics, but one of which is a Seagull Artist Mosaic. I've mostly used D'addario XS and XT strings on it, which are fine, but the XS really adds a little too much of a ringing sound, which takes away from the natural clarity and crispness of this solid mahogany guitar. The XTs don't seem to last all that long, so I have been going back and forth with slight annoyances between both.I reached out to Seagull (Godin) about which strings they recommend for this guitar and they said it should come with these Cleartone strings. I've read some mixed reviews on these strings but figured, what the heck, I'll give them a try. Well, I am really enjoying them, so far! The sound is a notch better on the Cleartones. My only remaining test will be if these last at least as long, or better, than the XTs. If so, I'm definitely a convert to Cleartones!FOLLOW UP: Over a month of moderate use and they are holding up very well! They didn't even start to tarnish yet, but I do wipe my strings with a dry cloth after I'm finished playing. However, the XTs would have already started to show some tarnish by now, so these Cleartones have better longevity and I'm still loving the natural (uncoated-like) sound they produce! Will definitely order more!

They do not hold a candle to elixirs by any means I've been using the electric for years these are flat sounding they say they're louder they are not I did a recording test in my studio and found that this is not true

In the summer months in North Carolina it can be really humid and playing outside kills your strings,It’s all I can do to get one gig from a regular set of strings. These strings are coated but not with some stupid nano web stuff that make all other coated string sound dead out of the box. These folks use a chemical coating and the strings are brite and punchy as you would expect strings to be,also $24 for two sets is a steal, these sale in music stores for $16.00 a set!!I go back to DAddarios in the fall but I highly recommend these strings!

Sounds sharp clear and stays new for months, coating doesn't change the fill of the string, great playability

I know, people look at the price of these strings and think...oh...noooo. But, their sound, longevity, clarity, BEAUTY...can not be matched by OTHER strings...even the more expensive brand. I used to use other strings made pretty close to where I live here on Long Island...but THESE...omg...like night and day!!!

Far better than elixirs. They tear the wrap wire BEFORE they wind it around the core so they have a great feel. No flashing off the treatment material at all. Great great tone on both my Gibson CJ165EC and my Martin 000-15. I have a set of Santa Cruz parabolic medium tension on my Martin right now but next string change back to Cleartone! And plus…Phil freaking Everly!! I love that!! Highly recommend these strings!
