This was one of the top results when I searched for a holster for my leather man raptor sheers. While they can be forced down into them, they definitely don’t feel like they belong (and removing them once you shove them all the way down is a hassle). It should be noted I don’t intend to return mine, I am able to make it work sufficiently for my needs (so perhaps you can too). However, if you are looking for a case that your leather man raptor will fit properly and snuggly in, maybe keep looking around still.The case itself is nice, feels strong and that it will last for a while. The clip gets a good hold on my 1.75” belt. If it fit my equipment perfectly I’d argue it’s the perfect bang for my buck.

My first impression after opening the package was a slight letdown. The bottom opening of the holster was a bit wavy, and there seemed to be no post processing work done to remove burrs along the edges. The screws used to attach the belt clip were loose. I snugged them down and ignored the rest of the issues and completely forgot about them, and the holster functions flawlessly however I use it. After about 2 weeks the clip screws loosened up again, and I lost one of them! They are simple machine screws, finding a replacement wont be difficult, and i'll be using threadlocker when I get it all put back together. Would give 5 stars if the burrs and screw situation were more than an afterthought, and since the bottom is open, it would have been nice if the sheath allowed for carrying the shears in both collapsed and expanded arrangements. Im not certain that is even possible but it seems like youd be able to make it happen with a bit of thought during the design process.anyway, for all my complaints, I am happy with the holster even if i had to put a bit of work into it to keep it functional.

Purchased to hold my shears at work so I didn’t have to keep them in my pocket, holster holds the shears tight and I never have to worry about them falling out.Only complaint and it really isn’t a complaint is the screws for the belt did back out a few times, a dab of blue locktite solves that quickly. Would recommend for anyone in a first responder setting.

No falling out and it clicks in place nicely. The screws do like to come loose on the belt side so be ware of that but if you do your dew diligence and tighten them periodically you will have a wonderful holster for your sheers.

Working in EMS for the last 19yrs has afforded me the opportunity to try several different holsters and methods of carrying my trauma sheers. After years of saying I’d never buy the Leatherman Raptors I finally gave in and purchased a set. The holster that comes with them is big, bulky, and sticks out a considerable distance from your side. I saw the Kydex case as was intrigued by the slim design and price. After wearing in on my hip for 40+hrs a week for months now I can firmly say this was a great purchase. It’s customizable to adjust to your duty belt as well as the tension the case holds you Raptors in love with. It’s rugged and light-weight design is a definite plus as well. Highly recommended any thinking about buying one to take the leap and just do it. You won’t be disappointed.
