I got this 9W light for my 1 gallon quarantine tank. I quarantine new plants and fish so they don’t spread disease or parasites to my established tanks. This tank came with a lid with a light in it, but the light was very bright and too cool for my plants or eyes. This one is a more pleasing light temperature variations and comes with the added bonus of the timer switch. I like being able to set that in the morning so it will go off by itself at night. Because this tank doesn’t have a lid, I had to lower the water so my fish won’t be able to jump out. The light has helped with the plant growth. I’ve only had it on a couple of weeks and my plants are much better. The other light just wasn’t adequate. This one is a good value and has good features.

Bought this as a replacement for my betta tank so I would have a built in timer and no longer have to use one of the larger plug in ones. Have it set on the 24/7 feature and it works awesome. It gets a little too bright at the mid day setting for the betta fish, but the goose neck made it super easy to adjust it so there is still a dark side to the tank for him to hide away from the "mid day sun." So far the plants in my tank seem to like it. I have the smallest of these available as I have a Fluval Spc V tank and wanted something other than the light that came with it. Would recommend!

This Clip On Aquarium LED Light meets the specs on the product page.The lighting and timing options are very ample for many intended uses.I got the 9W model, which was easy to fit onto my 3.5 gallon nano aquarium that is 16" long and 6" wide. Because I consider my tank to be on the very small size, I read the size options as Width measurements, and the smallest light (which I figured had to be for my little tank) has a range of 7.87-12.99 inches. I am am wondering if the specs refer to tank length. For my tank, this is a bit too short in length.Still, it lights the tank.I wish, however, that the curve in the gooseneck allowed the light to be closer to the water. It sits quite high from my perspective. I would assume if I were to have ordered the 16W size (which is possibly for tank lengths of 22-15") the curve in that gooseneck would hold the light even higher above the water, which I wouldn't prefer.Overall, this light has some good features, and still I am docking one star for the design which prevents the light from being closer than about 5 inches above the tank.

This light is definitely defective. I hope others are able to get ones that work well for them. This light kept getting stuck at 6 PM and would it move on from there so I ended up having to manually turn it off and on each day. It also is very bright in night mode and doesn’t really dim just super bright blue light.

Great light!It is super easy to setup and it fits well on a variety of tanks. The controller is easy to use and the light itself is bright for its size. I am easily able to grow plants in a tank that is up to 10g with this little light.The arm is adjustable and its easy to get it into the right position. It also holds that position which is great.Seems like its a great value for the money. Looks great and seems durable as well.Overall, 5 stars!Thank you and I hope this was helpful.

First impressions are great, it's well made and I like the way it attaches to the glass. Remote is somewhat confusing if you don't read the directions, but I did, and they made sense.Update: it's a few weeks later and this thing is GREAT, I love that the neck part doesn't start moving down like some lamps, FIVE STARS

Well worth your money, this fish light is easy to use and has buttons for color changing, dim/brightness, a 4h-8h-12h-16h timer that is very convenient if you desire only the colored lights, and a day/night cycle that was sunrise, midday, sunset, and a small moonlight phase that can be set generally around the hours it suggests, so you don't have to set it at a punctual time. To activate/deactivate the day/night cycle, long press the day/night button until obvious change happens.The light itself feels very durable and well made, flexible neck allows any position you'd want. The long panel for the lights are perfect for long microtanks and bright enough for the light to reach the bottom of the tank.my only gripe about this light is that there's no actual off switch which made it annoying to set up in the first place, and must unplug it until you are ready to set it up in the morning, but other than that it's a good light.
