You also get exceptional chip ejection to allow cleaner and more constant cutting. The surface of all CMT bits is protected with our trademark orange Industrial PTFE Coating to help keep the bit from collecting resin, pitch and other residue. CMT Straight Bits allow production at an industrial scale on a variety of plywoods, composites and natural woods. CMT produces 61 straight bits in almost every size you need. Safety tips: Never use damaged or worn down bits. Always work at the proper feed speed without forcing the bit. Pay particular attention when making the initial cut into the wood with a small diameter bit. For best results when working with small diameter bits, run the cut more than one time.

CMT es muy, muy buena herramienta, y tiene un precio competitivo. Me parecen tan duradera y de buen acabado como Freud, Amana/Timberline.

I use CMT saw blades since I first put them in my table (their ripping blade is phenomenal for the price) and this router bit lives up to the quality I’m beginning to expect from the company.I used this bit cutting through maple and other hardwoods for tons of box joints using a diy jig on my router table and it is still cutting like butter. If you’re not ready to break the bank with a spiral bit, I think this cuts just as well as similar bits by Bosch and Freud that cost more.I’m now only hoping the prices on their router bits get as good as they are on their saw blades!

Just completed a large Walnut inlay pair of panels in a door. Machined Cherry without burning, and very minimal tear out. CMT always make nice bits this is no exception. Strongly recommended.

I used it to mortise a slot in 2x cedar boards for a spline/butt joint. The cedar was soft enough so that I could go into it about 3/4 inch and hog out a 2 inch slot.
