Add is wrong. This product doesnt illuminate up to 500. Maybe 250. Also the manual say 840nm instead of 970nm or so.

The light only worked for about 5 months, I think water may have gotten in it but it was not the products fault as I changed the lens to a diffused filter. I did this same modification to my other CMvision light and it still works great after 1 year. Lights up the yard at night light daylight. Again, the failure of the light is probably my fault for not placing the seal back in properly after changing the lens. The light shoots a spot light and I wanted a broader spectrum. If you cut a piece of lens that are used in overhead fluorescent lights, there will be a wider span of light. There is a thick rubber gasket that seals out water on the inside of the fixture. I screwed up and since they run about $70, I will wait on buying a new one. The other CMvision fixtures I own are 5 star! Don't fiddle with it like I did and you will be happy with your purchase!

Amazing super powerful lights. I bought 3 of them, one for the back and two for the front of the house. We have poor street lighting in front of the house and now I see my poorly lighted front yard lit up like a football field . I had one small issue with one of the lights and it has resolve immediately. The message was answered in less than 20 minutes (might of been luck but still good) Not only it's an amazing product but it comes with outstanding technical support. They just want to make sure your are happy. Other sellers might have the same product but no support these guys offer, just my opinion. The lights are not a narrow beams like other lights. The further they are mounted the wider the beam gets. They have a nice soft red glowing panel when you are facing them directly but completely inconspicuous when viewed from the sides. I thought that was nice. I was afraid it drew too much attention from passing cars. But since I only have them lighting up within my property line, they can only be seen when someone enters my property. I like the warning only when it's needed.Low power consumption, window made out of glass not plastic, metal housing and the power to operate these lights can be feed off the same power wire your existing cameras feed from by buying a power splitter cable. No need to rewire or reinstall anything. I installed mine with the power splitter (not included with the light) it took me just 10 minutes to mount the light housing and add the splitter to the existing wire n boom done deal. I should of bought these when I bought my cameras a year ago. You can never have too much lighting at night when it comes to these night vision cameras. You will not be sorry you bought these I promise you that. This seller's price is low enough n the technical support it comes with is very good. I can't complain. But whether you buy it from him or not you'll be happy with these lights.God bless you guys and remember, Jehovah is the most high, lord of lords and king of kings.

Pro: The CMVision-IR200 IR LED works great. I am using it in conjunction with my Insteon 75791 Wireless Outdoor Security Camera. The Camera has a viewing angle of about 25 degrees and boasts a night vision of about 100 feet. The CMVision Light has a viewing angle of about 38 degrees and boasts a night vision of up to 500 feet.. I use the camera (Game Camera) to observe wildlife in my back yard. Before I installed the CMVision light I could only make out the outlines of deer (75 to 100 feet) and of course see their glowing white eyes. After installing the light, I can see them chewing the corn and wagging their tails. More than 100 percent improvement. I'm not sure about the 500 foot range but it lights up fine back to 200 feet. The light is well worth the price.Con: The light has a fixed mount, no swivel, just an up and down ratchet that is tightened. But not a big drawback. Only problem I had installing the light was that in order for me to mount the light on the back of my barn, I had to disassemble the mounting bracket from the light, then mount the bracket and re-attach the light. When doing this the 12 volt power cord came loose/unplugged from inside the light because it is guided through the mounting bracket. Kind of a poor design. Though I easily got it re-attached by opening up the light. Just be more careful than me.

I bought two of these LED lights for a home security system I was designing, with the worry that they wouldnt provide "enough light". Boy was I wrong, the object I was trying to illuminate was about 150 feet away from the camera, and this lights it up like it was daylight. But if a subject (person) is walking towards the camera or in front of it, the person gets whited out because the light is too intense. This light will serve a different purpose for lighting up a long (350 foot driveway). The light was simple to install and seems to be of solid build so I expect it to last for a good amount of time. My only concern was with the power connector and being outdoors, with mineral buildup and exposure to moisture since the cord is so short you can't stick it inside the wall as easily. Other than the over brightness closeup this works great for long distance needs.
