Using these on a vintage tube receiver I'm restoring to convert the screw clamp terminals to banana plugs. While they generally work well, I have a couple complaints:1) The spade connectors are super flimsy and will bend out of alignment super easily. Use with caution.2) The ends with the spade connectors are very long and rigid, which is nice for durability, but horrible for spacing on a tight back panel full of connectors crammed very close together. If one bends them at a right angle to have them take up less horizontal space, one runs the risk of breaking them or the spade popping out from the screw terminal.I could have made these myself, but at some point it's nice to just buy something that works out of the box.. I'd say that goal was maybe 60% attained in this case.

I had purchased those gold banana plugs before that seem to pull on the older vintage amp s and speaker terminals. These work perfect! The smaller spade connectors and wire lead are perfect for the older smaller amps and the banana plugs fit snugly in them. Highly recommended over the other metal spade to banana plug adapters as the wired lead on these ones works better and does not pull away or damage older spade terminals.

Needed to install extensions to speakers being mounted in a way that would make connecting speaker wire more difficult later. Installed these first for that I could hook up male banana plugs to the ends later. Very pleased and an excellent value.

I’m giving 5 stars because these are well made and should work for most applications. But my 1968 McIntosh receiver has small screws that even the small blades were too big for. So I had to alter them myself. In my pic on the right are the originals. On the left are the smaller ones I outfitted on here. They work great after my ‘fix’.

The product description says the opening is 1/4", but that is 100% false — the outside dimension width is 1/2" — inner width is 3/8", and only the inner narrow width is 1/4". Not sure what vintage equipment these would properly work with — maybe something from the land of giants? 😛In all seriousness, these would be fine with modern binding posts, but if you have modern binding posts there's no need for a banana adapter because the binding post already has that. Based on the 1/4" width claim I purchased these hoping to use them with some Klipsch vintage speakers. These are too wide to fit into the terminal block.If you're looking for something that will fit old school terminal blacks, look elsewhere.On the plus side, build quality is A+.
