I recently bought this shovel at Cabela's b/c of the size and ability to fold. The third or fourth time I put my foot on the shovel edge to dig, the shovel bent. The telescoping handle is fine, but the actual shovel seems cheap. I'm in Nebraska and the soil seems just as soft as other states I've lived in. I guess this would be good for a beach, but since it's a 'camping' shovel, something a little more durable should be purchased b/c of the need for reliability and dependability.
