Its the ideal size, and works well with drainage spigots, its the real value for the money you pay.

This is my third rain barrel, it fits together fairly simply, holds water with no leaks, and doesn't have a noticeable sag in the middle like some. It does everything it needs to do while still remaining portable and easily stored if needed. I would recommend storage in the winter if you keep consistently below freezing temperatures, as I have had spouts just like these crack, but then again, that's probably common sense for anyone other than me.

Got this for my backyard. I already have multiple water storage containers, but this would be my first official rain barrel. Assembly was straight forward but you have to be careful putting together the legs. I cracked the first joint I tried to put together. It wasn't broken all the way, so I used some trusty duct tape to hold it together. I didn't get to take a picture of it but ironically, it's the same type of crack another reviewer posted. Also, you have to make sure that wherever you are placing this rain barrel is flat. Make a stand for it if needed. Looking at the mesh area where the water would flow in, I'm not sure if it is small enough to prevent mosquitoes from entering and laying eggs. I have some extra mesh rain barrel covers that I used for other containers that I will use for some extra protection. Mosquitoes become a huge problem once the weather warms up and I don't want to give them any extra options. The material of the rain barrel is thick and very sturdy. It should hold up for years to come. The price on it is decent as well.Overall, I am happy with this selection.

I ordered this to collect rain water for watering my plants. The TDS in my well water and city water may not be doing my plants any favors, and they seem to really thrive on rain water. The first rain barrel I receive was missing some parts, so I was unable to complete assembly. I requested and quickly received a replacement from Amazon, and all the parts were included this time.Assembly is tricky because the plastic tubes that connect, and act as supports for this collapsible rain barrel, are hard to put together. The connecting pieces are really tight, and one of them cracked and broke when I was trying to assemble them. The plastic is not super high quality.Once assembled, this item does work as advertised. I installed it under a part of the eve of my house where the water runs down like a waterfall when it rains. The water pools on the top of the barrel, which is slightly concave, and it runs down into the barrel through the mesh covered hole in the top.I haven't tried to use any of the spigots yet, but I checked them prior to assembly and they are all working. I don't see any leaks so far, but it is not very full yet. This is not a super sturdy product. I recommend using care when assembling the uprights to avoid breaking them. It will take some time and patience. Because this is made of vinyl, I wouldn't put it in the sun.If you use this only a couple of months in the year and keep it out of the sun, and if no parts break during assembly, this is a perfectly satisfactory solution to catching rainwater if you don't want to use a plastic barrel or trash can. This is definitely easier to store in the off season.I'll probably cover the mesh hole when it's not raining to inhibit mosquitos, or throw a Mosquito Dunk in the barrel if I'm not using it for drinking water. This item will hold enough water to water a small garden depending on the time of year and how hot it is. It's also a good prep item to have on hand to store rain water for an emergency. One could throw a couple of CD tablets in the barrel and purify the water for drinking. The retail price at the time of this review is $43.00. This is a pretty good price considering a 32 gallon garbage can is at least $30.00 and doesn't include any spigots or a vented lid. And, a garbage can is not collapsible, so it's not easily stored when not in use.Overall, this item is a fair value for the money - not super great, but not terrible. I took off 2 stars from my review because of the missing parts on the first item, the assembly problems, and the brittleness of the plastic connector parts. If you want to be able to collect rain water but don't want to have a big barrel or trash can that you can't store when not in use, this is a good solution. The value is in the eye of the beholder. My rating: three stars.

Well, I got this as a temporary/overflow unit as Florida gets a ton of rain when it does, and none when it doesn't. Even with 110 gallons of rigid barrels at home, I still run out in the dry season.I picked this up so I can add some reserve when I need to. Its obviously not fair to compare to this to a hard sided/permanent barrel, but it does work and it does the job. As others have said, some improvement on the water inlet is needed to keep out bugs/mosquitoes. But all in all, its a decent rain barrel.I think being able to fold it up and store it is important for anyone up north that deals with freezing weather. for us, not so much an issue - if nothing else I might use it for the opposite idea - when weather is getting cold, I could fill it and put it under a tarp with other plants to keep them from freezing. The water mass will keep the temperature a bit higher under the tarp for several days of freezing weather - more than enough for Florida. All in all, a decent barrel for being a portable one that can be put away.

Using this along with a couple of 32 gallon trash cans as part of my rainwater collection. This was easy to put together although it's a bit flimsy in comparison to rigid trash cans. What I do like is that it's easy to store when not in use and won't take up a lot of room. The mesh grid at the top is big enough that mosquitos will still be able to get in, so you need to keep that covered when not collecting rain water. Have not had any leaks and this set up on a paved surface.

It was easy to setup and is durable enough to hold up all winter without the cold damaging it. None of the connections leak, aside from the one at the top that is supposed to. The mosquito netting is a joke. It did not keep them out and I had to make some modifications.
