These are super tiny. Won't work at all if you have more than 1 oz of wool. It will take forever. They are toys. Spokes even came bent. Super disappointed.

nice and small, if you only want to do a small amount of carding they are great, the price was very reasonable , (would have liked to get them from amazon uk but they don't do them).Arrived quickly considering they came all the way from usa

As other reviewers have stated, they are a little small, with the plates approximately 1.5inx2in, and the surface area where the needle teeth are- are smaller than that.I bought these to use with blending two wool roving colors from Michaels. They work very well, and it's best to blend colors in small batches, to really be able to 'brush' through the fibers, otherwise it's just a big blob. I also bought some felt sheets from Michaels (since those have more color range choices), and used these tools to separate those fibers, and it worked pretty well! This was really helpful because then I didn't need to buy so much wool roving (which can get expensive!) and the sheets are cheaper and came in a color I needed.Overall, a very useful tool to have for small projects!

I teach a crafting and sewing class and I thought that I was going to demonstrate how the process of how the fibers become a material to work with. These were really small, almost like a toy. It was ok to demonstrate with, but not something to actually work with.

After recently becoming hooked on needle felting, I realized I needed this tool to blend wool fibers easily. This does the job adequately but they are very small. The actual blending surface is 1 inch by 2 inches; the description on the product says the product dimensions are 4 x 1.8 x 11 inches - that description is misleading -the total length of one of the tools, including the handle, is 4-1/2 inches. I believe the product dimensions listed in the description are those of the plastic bag that contains the two blending tools. Because the product size is so small, it takes a long time to blend any fibers adequately. I will keep them but I am in the market for a larger set and very disappointed by the misleading description.As a added note: 2 months after purchasing these, the tines started coming out. This is a poorly made product and the description is completely misleading. I should have returned these.

nice and small works really well for roving that I am using to felt with. I have used it to blend scrap yarn with the roving on some experimental pieces as well.
